I changed high schools 2 days after starting the first as a freshman. I spent the first week wandering the halls during lunch hour feeling the same way: not really challenged by school work, didn't know anyone as a new guy at school, plus most of them already were pretty cliquish from having grown up through elementary school. Then one lunch hour I encountered another guy pacing the halls as well and said "You're new here, too?" He informed me no, he had lived there all his life, knew these kids all his life.

The next day I joined the science club, the chess club, and the staff of the school newspaper. All lead to new friends, new activities, and I never had any idle time on my hand and when I graduated I was voted into the student hall of fame at that school.. Like most things in life, the payback is from what you invest.

I recommment learning 18 And life. I don't remember the artist, but it's a beautiful song. Never appreciated the guitar before I heard the solo in that one.

You could always pull a Beavis and Butthead. Not out loud, but in your mind. Wait until the teacher or somebody else says something that could be a double entendre, and picture the boys laughing.
