What's the worst thing your parents ever told you?

I was told my dad to hang and drown myself , and if he knew what I was going to turn out like he would have got my mum to abort me.

"look what you did, you upset your mother again" when it had actually been his fault. Many times throughout my childhood.

I was an only child with a horrible mother. When I was 20 I woke up to one of her cowardly, angry notes "I should have kept Patti and given YOU away!" Who knew? I have a sister out there somewhere. She doesn't know how lucky she was/is.

Sadly, it wasn't one thing that comes to mind, but rather years of never seeming to notice my good qualities. I often was ridiculed and compared to my siblings who were blatantly favored. God knows why. They have issues I would never want to have.

My mom is a very religious person and the worst thing she ever told me was about hell at around 5yo. which is a level of traumatic fearmongering i would call child abuse.

My mom told me I was lazy, worthless, fat, stupid. The list goes on.

Tossup between being trapped in a car as my father drove around erratically for an hour calling me oh manner of terrible things when they read in my journal I was realizing I was bisexual and threaten to put me in a mental institution.. you’re disowned blah blah blah

Or The time my mother told me my abusive, drug addict stepfather was her best friend and would always come first.

They weren't mean to me. As much of an ass as I am, I didn't deserve them. 😥

I gave you life and I can take it away.
