I think it's good time now to start asking the why behind Biden's attempt to forgive student loans. It makes no sense.
Those are low interest loans with a kind lender. The weight of crippling debt on America's youth isn't low interest student loans but credit card debt with interest rates that are 3 to 4 to 5 TIMES the rate of student loans. It's the same crippling weight on people without student loans.
Today's fed fund rate is about 5%. That means a bank can borrow from another bank at 5% and then lend that money to credit card holders and get 25%+ back when used to finance outstanding credit card balances. a 20%+ gap between what a bank can borrow at and what they can lend out. Forget the fed funds, and with their checkbook accounts and savings accounts, banks pay approximately ZERO interest, so they borrow from their depositors at zero interest than collect 25%+ in credit card interest. Your nearby supermarket can't get such a margin between the wholesale price and retail, and they have considerably more overhead cost in doing business.
So why isn't Biden and his Democrat pals attacking the real debt weighing down America's youth? Why are credit card bankers allowed to get away with such crippling rates? The government has its heavy footprint in home mortgage loans, as they do in business loans via SBA, as they do in student loans, and tax incentives and credits. So why are credit card borrowers thrown to the wolves or fed to the loan sharks?
Could it be because credit card companies tend to incorporate in the tiny state of Delaware, where Joe Biden serves as their protector?

Average student loan is about $20K, At 5% they pay $1,000 in interest per year Average credit card balance is about $6K. At 25% they pay $1,500 interest per yr.

As amusing as this horrible downward spiral has been, I don't believe 4 more years of it will benefit the American populace. I'm more inclined to vote for whomever decides to run against the Democrat party this year. It'll be the second time in my life I've voted for anything, but it's kinda like getting pushed into a corner.
Anymore we can compare our presidential choices to the ability of being able to pick up a turd by the clean end... if it were possible, I'd pick it up by the dirty end if it meant no to Biden.
