if trump runs in 2024

if trump is endorsed by the republican party to run for election in 2024 for president of the united states, do you think this is going to harm the republican party and there chance of there party being in power . as an neutral british observer to these mid term results it has far as gone as well for the republicans as trump boasted .🤔 maybe a case of satisfaction with joes performance as president 🤔 may a case trump is a liability to the republicans and people have long memories from his disasterous last term in office . if trump loses the election for candidate too run for president then you may see the republicans fair better in 2024 , in the united kingdom in the eighties it was the reason thatcher won two elections in 1983 and 1987,this was because the labour party had leaders in the shape of foot and kinnock who where not popular with the british electorate which condemned us brits to the cruel hand of thatcherism .sadly if trump represents the republican party in 2024 the same fortune maybe the same we had in britain in the eighties

As long as Biden isn’t president anymore! One thing for sure after Biden dragged this country threw the mud and totally wrecked this country’s morals the next president will have his work cut out for him. Unless before the election WW3 breaks out!

If we nominate Donald Trump for president, it will be the end of the Republican Party. And we will deserve it.
-Lindsey Graham, 2015

He wasn’t wrong 🤷‍♂️
@bijouxbroussard Seems like it for now, but I could easily see him slithering back towards McConnell or DeSantis.

Graham doesnt seem to have a spine, but there's something in his head keeping him relevant.

I used to think he was channeling Ashley Wilkes to survive in a world of Rhett Butlers, but the more I watch him, the more I see where he and McCain may have actually shared ground about being willing to be flexible to stay in the game.

@MistyCee I remeber when Lindsay Ghraham use to think highly of Biden back when Biden Was Obamas Vice President Now He Has Changed His,Tune Now That Biden is President 😆
The midterms did NOT go as well as republicans hoped or predicted. It was widely predicted that there would be a "red wave" meaning lots of people from the conservative republican party would replace the more liberal democrats. It did not turn out that way. There was a small "red ripple" not a wave. And many republicans that Trump had specifically endorsed - and even campaigned for - failed to win.

This is widely viewed as a defeat of Trump and Trumpism. Trump had promised some sort of "big announcement" a week or two after the election, and many pundits thought he would use the red wave and victories of his endorsed candidates as a springboard to announce a new presidential campaign for 2024.

I think Trump will run again for 2024. I think he'll be opposed by Florida Gov Ron DeSantis. DeSantis likes big PR gestures that stir up the dummies, but he's no dummy himself. He's a highly educated calculating professional politician. Being a professional politician with no business experience is a weakness in today's republican party.

I think it'll be a long dirty fight between the two, and with just a bit of luck they'll both emerge politically damaged.
@ElwoodBlues Many Trump voters won't support DeSantis after Trump is done with him. The only reason DeSantis seems to be doing well now is because the people who are tired of Trump are desperately searching for a successor, so they settled on him because he pwns the libs. But once people get to know him, DeSantis is finished. He's a slick, nasal-voiced sniveler who comes across as a bad used car salesman.
@LeopoldBloom They will certainly need to give up their admiration for businessmen and wealth. DeSantis has spent almost his entire career on one gov't salary or another. But let us not underestimate the maga power of self deception and delusion.
@ElwoodBlues A MAGA is someone who says they revere the military, but thinks John McCain was a traitor to America and Cadet Bonespurs is a war hero.

Trump is a loser.

Trump is too fat and old to run. Maybe he could walk instead
Dshhh · M
He said:
On election day, Donald Trump was clear about how his efforts to support Republican candidates should be seen.

“Well, I think if they win, I should get all the credit,” Trump told NewsNation. “If they lose, I should not be blamed at all.”
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Dshhh 🤷‍♂️ what does that tell you about trump then happy too take the glory but not the blame .
Khenpal1 · M
Trump is the past , his pal Putin made sure of it.
@Khenpal1 Forgive me for jumping in, please, but why would Trump's pal, Putin, make sure Trump is "in the past?"

I'm not sure I get what you're saying.

Are you saying that Putin makes a practice of disarming assets that are no longer useful?

Or that without Putin's support, Trump is in the past?

I'm genuinely curious about what you're saying.
Khenpal1 · M
@MistyCee Putin disarmed Trumps foreign policy in Europe and Asia .

I hate that man
@Soph03 he’s repugnant. You can’t buy class.

After the results of the mid terms that is highly unlikely. All the candidates he backed got beaten.
He is the Republican front runner and in my opinion, has the best chance to be the nominee due to the Republican primary system. If the anti-Trump vote is split among several contenders, all he needs is a plurality and he gets all of the electors for that state. This is what happened in 2016. Of course, we’re a long way out and that could change if he’s indicted or has a health issue.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Well currently he and DeSantis are trading barbs and Trump is basically admitting to crimes in order to sink DeSantis as a potential future challenger.

So, well, at least, this is extremely funny. I have no idea what will happen. Its the GOP's race to lose though. Like they're openly evil but at least they're effective in being evil.
You may just have cured me of my anglophilia with this post.

I really want to comment, but not so badly that I want to rewrite it all.
@smiler2012 Um, become I'm lazy and selfish, and inclined to think that someone who doesn't bother to even give a half assed effort to punctuate and speak coherently is not worth my time responding to.

That sounds overly harsh, but your post is really hard to read, and I'm here for leisure, as opposed to other things.
