It is an oversimplification. If all female leaders were like Margaret Thatcher, the world would probably be even more belligerent 🤣
Women in general are more inclined to negotiation and compromise. But these qualities are not necessarily in abundance among women who achieve positions of high authority.

Maybe if the Argentines had a female leaders in 1982 they wouldn't have be so stupid as to invade the Falklands in the first place!

@beckyromero Yes,they thought that Mrs T. would be a pushover - a major miscalculation on their part.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@beckyromero Yes, I agree with that!
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Women have always ruled the world. Just behind the scenes.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrBrownstone many of the men in power have women handlers they are married to. Not all of them are really women though. Macron’s “wife” for example.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti Jill Biden

@MrBrownstone I don’t get a feeling that’s a man, but the fashion choices are weird. Kind of like Mooch.

Not a good idea, do you think, the one on the right was asked, was it worth half a million Iraqi children dying in the war. She said yes, it was worth it, two evil people together
AbbeyRhode · F
I think they are uninformed and naive. Some of the most evil creatures alive are women.
4meAndyou · F
"People say" is never a valid argument for a debate.

I don't think it has a bit to do with gender I think it has to do with knowledge and wisdom.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Women can be just as moronic and ruthless as men. But they do seem to overall have stronger empathy and negotiating skills.
Trex8181 · 41-45, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Yes, it's more a personality thing than a gender one .I highly a doubt an entire world of women leaders would be warless.
ElwoodBlues · M
@Trex8181 Ah, but "warless" is not the claim. "Less war" is the claim.
Graylight · 51-55, F
Yes. Whether innate or inbred, women have a higher empathy score generally speaking, and a higher emotional IQ. They tend to delegate responsibilities and seek a support network rather than striking defensive postures. Women are more likely to backtrack and find an alternate solution around a problem rather than continuing to try to push right through it for fear of being seen as a week.
This is a very general question with a very general response, but look around. The violent crimes, the shooting, the frauds, the abuses… They are almost exclusively in the hands of men.

Women can be just as bad, maybe worse because people don't take them seriously so they double-down
Budwick · 70-79, M
Well. I think first we need to find some leadership that are certain as to what a woman is.
Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson was uncertain.
Many Marxist leaders entertain the fluid gender theories - they're not certain what a woman is either.
Okay, I've got that out of my system. I don't know that there would be fewer wars or not.
But I think female leadership would be fine.

Margaret Thatcher engineered a war in the Falklands so I doubt it.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
Nah a lot of the time those who seek positions of power and authority tend more towards specific personality types.
It's not a rule but it's commonplace. People in policing usually have a more authoritarian proclivity, even if well intentioned. The same goes for politics.

@iamelijah "The Etruscans
The first group on our list, the Etruscans, lived in modern-day Tuscany. The majority of the population were farmers who would trade with nearby regions, like Carthage and Greece. Although early historians were not confident that Etruscans engaged in human sacrifice, recent excavations revealed multiple sites of human sacrifice.
In particular, the bodies of multiple individuals including adults, children, and infants were found surrounded by religious items including an altar, ritualistic weapons, and other religious objects. In one discovery, the body of a young child was found decapitated, with his feet being used as a foundation deposit under a wall. In addition to these discoveries, ancient texts describing the practice of human sacrifice, as well as artwork depicting human sacrifice, have been found in this region."
Ancient Origins
I can't actually find a reference to my own memory of this, so I will concede that perhaps I read something fictional. But I do remember that what I read involved the Minoans, and a female snake cult...and they carried their perversions to Spain and later to Britain, where they were overthrown.

It's possible, since women don't fall victim to toxic masculinity. But also, they might be more likely to start a war in order to prove they're not weak, since that's a stereotype about women.

@BohemianBabe Well,at least you weren't nasty and ignorant to the person texting you and in the process deny the common sense notion that pepole in general are capable of being toxic, irregardless of sex or gender, which is something that even most children can inherently understand.
BohemianBabe · M
@DavidT8899 So you clearly don't understand what toxic masculinity is.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
I'd refer them to Queen Victoria, Catherine the Great, Margaret Thatcher, etc., etc., etc. It isn't the gender that matters, it's the sanity and morals.

There would be fewer wars but there would be four or give countries not speaking to each other😜
Thodsis · 51-55, M
I'd mansplain and point out that it should be 'fewer' instead of 'less'. ;)
That they don’t understand women or history lol
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Less wars and less other problems too.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Well, as an experienced leader in my own right, I have to say it's not the gender of the person but their authenticity that counts the most.

@MarkPaul So sad you can't get through a day without lying.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Even sadder you seem dedicated to slandering my profession, my reputation, and promoting conspiracies. You have gone full-scale Rudy Giuliani at this point. The only difference is, you were never sane.

@Roundandroundwego Just out of curiosity, what system would you prefer to capitalism?

Interesting hypophesis... maybe humanity could give it a try and then we'll see.
In general I believe that having only one leader at the top of a state leads to war.

Women are too emotional to be leaders
Trex8181 · 41-45, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Actually it's an opinion some do have.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
If women ruled the world there would definitely be no more war-all of the countries would simply nag each other to death.

I don't mind having male leaders but maybe they should only be elected if their Mothers are still around so they can keep them in check

Many of those same people think people with penises ARE women. So IDK what to think at this point .
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
As others have pointed out it really is not so much about gender. It depends who you have in power.

I think they don’t know much about women.
