No that is a result of failed Democrat policies.
BohemianBabe · M
Yes, but it's also because of covid. People stopped driving, causing the price of oil to plummet, then when the pandemic ended, everyone went back to driving, thus causing the price of oil to skyrocket. It was the same in every country.

@uikakarotuevegeta “Muslims don't like going to bars and nightclubs because they're brainwashed by their religion to view pretty much anything fun in life to be prohibited or with restrictions attached...well, except the so-called progressive and cultural/secular Muslims that are viewed as disbelievers by the rest of the Islamic world.”
They say alcohol is prohibited by Allah, but some of them take drugs.

@BohemianBabe “You seem to think people were hunkering down and refusing to drive because the government or the media told them to. This was happening before the lockdowns or before covid dominated the media. People were hearing about COVID-19 deaths from social media or from family members who died.”
This was not my experience. Even the doctors and nurses were dismissing covid at first. They did not think it would spread so much. At first, I didn't see anyone wearing masks and they were going out as normal. The media started telling them that covid was getting out of control and that large numbers were dying, and the people became scared to go out. It wasn't enough for some, hence the lockdowns. The government had to ensure they would all stay inside. Prior to the fearmongering and lockdowns, there were barely any people I met who were scared enough to not go out. We all heard about China, but they wanted to live their lives.

The war in Ukraine caused severe inflationary pressure while markets readjusted to dusrupted supply chains, sanctions, etc.

That's a huge part of it...printing more and more and more and more and more brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

In your country? I have no idea. In the United States, we are combatting the results of the implementation of "The Green New Deal"...which cost trillions of dollars for zero return...and shut down oil and natural gas production and the major pipelines. The price of gas shot up, and the cost to ship food and other goods all over our nation skyrocketed. The retailers passed their huge shipping costs on to consumers.

That… and the money we print out of thin air to pay for it
SomeMichGuy · M
It isn't, any more.
Inflation isn't the level of prices, it's the rate of INCREASE.
Yes, prices went up, and that sucks, but the rate of change is back down again.

Some of it. In Europe! They're paying like you, and the cost of living is harsh! No socialism any more. Americans must be so, so proud!
Zonuss · 41-45, M
There is no such thing as inflation. It's a scam. Because the money is controlled. Simple.
uikakarotuevegeta · 26-30
@Zonuss run a business, own/invest assets, live below your means, game the system, and stop crying like a commie 🤣
Zonuss · 41-45, M

That's part of it. But not for the reason you think. You see, the US chose to implement sanctions against Russia, and Russia in turn chose to jack up prices on oil. When fuel costs more, groceries cost more.
