Should childfree people receive tax credits for being responsible in not procreating and adding to the burden children place on society?

Why pay taxes to public schools when you won't have any use for them as a childfree non-breeder?

Children are not a burden, they are the future of mankind.
Every one benefits from children. While they are children, adults who look after them, teach them, tend them, have meaningful employment , putting their wages back into the society you live in.
When the children become adults they go to work, paying taxes. They teach children and apprentices. They drive trucks that deliver everything you have in your house.
They plant the fruit and vegetables you consume to survive. They run sheep and cattle and goats and pigs and...
Where would the world be without children?
For a while, a bunch of geriatrics confined to wheelchairs and beds because there will be no adult children to care for them.
Then there would be no more live humans upon the earth.
I agree that might be a good thing. Giving the natural world back to the critters.

@Gusman

Awww! what a sweet thing to say! But, in reality, there's this...

Or is it ONLY white babies that get to grow up and do those things? Because this, this is genocide.

No but there needs to be a recognition that humans do not HAVE to create children and families in order to be accepted as 'normal'. Heck I have kids (all awesome humans) and I'm anything but 'normal' being that apparently I have ASD and am apparently neuro-divergent so don't do social stuff, friends, dating, relationships very well. But I've never asked for help to deal with being a dad.

In your logic we do not pay taxes for what we dont use, yet we all do that for so many services already. The point of the "commons" is we pool money to serve all of society for the common greater good.

Checklist taxes would implode things. That stated, there could be caps - i.e. cap deductions at the biological replacement number of two.

Above four children, one could get taxed more for the cost to maintain additional infrastructure and the cost to the natural environment that requires mitigation...

The way to look at paying tax which is spent on child support is to imagine you are paying back for the child support your parents received for you. (Not sure if this translates well to your country but in the UK everybody gets child support payments).

No.

Yet I don't believe in giving a tax break either for kids. Nor these head of house hold tax breaks.

There's a reason why this is done and it has little to do with taxes or even politics.

It's solely done to promote monogamy.

@Strictmichael75 You can avoid paying council rates too by not having a property of your own. Be a problem solver. lol

Children are not burden to society if they have responsible parents

For the same reason you would have to pay taxes to improve and maintain the roads if you didn't drive a car.
How did you come to the conclusion that children place a burden on society?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Because it benefits society. If you enjoy the benefits of society, you must pay the price for it.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
If you think children are a burden to society then I thank you for not having any.

Wait till you're old and there aren't enough working age people to support you.
The Chinese tried something like that. How did that go?
