@HoraceGreenley And higher IQ in our culture correlates with higher achievement academically and at work.

@HoraceGreenley As usual, you haven't done your research!!
And, as stated above, multiple IQ studies have found a statistically significant positive correlation between higher IQ and more liberal political affiliation. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/millennial-media/201304/do-racism-conservatism-and-low-iq-go-hand-in-hand
Conservatism, and Low I.Q. Go Hand in Hand? Lower cognitive abilities predict greater prejudice through right-wing ideology. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/02/100224132655.htm
Liberals and atheists smarter? Intelligent people have values novel in human evolutionary history, study finds. https://www.upi.com/Higher-IQ-linked-to-liberalism-atheism/68381267513202/
Young adults who subjectively identify themselves as "very liberal" have an average IQ of 106 during adolescence while those who identify themselves as "very conservative" have an average IQ of 95 during adolescence.
Is There a Relationship between High IQ Scores and Positive Life Outcomes? A Critical Review
4. Discussion
All in all, extensive research shows that IQ scores can play a critical role in determining positive life outcomes like success in academic performance from elementary school through college, job performance, and occupational status. These results seem to confirm the validity of IQ tests to measure intellectual abilities which lead towards the types of success that are valued in Western cultures. In other words, IQ assessment may thus become destiny.

Is IQ A Predictor Of Success?
As the question is stated, the answer is simply "yes".
If you take a "real" IQ test (see comments below), then the result is a strong statistical predictor of multiple future life outcomes - income, education level, health, even longevity. There are hundreds of studies that confirm these correlations. So in that sense, it "predicts" your future "success".

He could give everyone $17.28; he'd be broke after 😏
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@helenS Taking this into consideration; not all 7-7.5 billion people are poor. So, if all the rich would share, everyone at the least could be well off. No need to work, no economy, the world would go bust. 2 + 2 = 5. And on top of that, the smart will still, eventually end up with the money. 😅 🤣
helenS · 36-40, F
@maskedbandit Hey but don't you know, money is pure evil! (... orders 3 bottles of expensive Amarone della Valpolicella on amazon.com...)
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
@helenS 😳 🤣 👍

He's moving from Democrat-owned Seattle to Republican-run Florida, so he doesn't get taxed to death. Democrats soon won't have anyone left to tax in their states except the homeless and illegals.

SW-User
@graphite Taxed to death? I'm sure he could live on the approximately $50-60 billion he'd have left...
graphite · 61-69, M
@SW-User He sure could. But he has a way out of paying Democrats' confiscatory tax rates and apparently he's going to take it. Similar to how pro sports teams in California lose athletes to teams in Texas because California charges Big Big State Income Taxes and Texas charges none. Doesn't matter that the players are all millionaires anyway.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@graphite Is that what happens when a billionaire actually pays his taxes like an ordinary person? He literally withers away and dies? 🥺
kentex35 · 100+, M
I think you forgot to carry your one or something. He could give everyone a dollar
kittee · 22-25
he worlked for the money, and earnt it, why should he just give it away
justanothername · 51-55, M
@Renaci He started out life as a regular business analyst working in NYC. During his work analyzing numbers in businesses he noticed a trend and spotted a potential gap in the market for selling books online. He talked to his girlfriend and they decided to take a punt pack their belongings into their car and drive to California where they set up a website selling books and magazines online.
That was in the late 90’s. The rest they say is history.
Theres a doco series called the rise of the tech billionaires. Google it. It gives the story of Bezos, Zuckerberg, Google, Microsoft etc.

@kittee Yes, thousands of people work very hard for his money.

The math is not mathing. He wouldn’t obviously fix the entire earth population’s life but he could certainly get many many people out of extreme poverty and unsanitary living conditions, and he would still be filthy rich. But does it want to? I think not. And if all billionaires in the world worked together , they would fix a huge portion of the world’s issues .
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
@SW-User but they do it with their agenda's instead of working for the greater good. I found out there's no such thing from these punks.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@SW-User Best they can do is to work together to make us all even more miserable. In fact that's what they generally do 🙈

@YoMomma I think the point is that 20k to him is nothing to him but can make a huge difference in another person's life.

Not a big fan of Bezos but you can't beat what he's built. Instead of having to drive around to Kohl's, Target, etc, at $5 a gallon, to find they don't have my size jeans, I just press a couple buttons on amazon.com and the proper-fitting pants will be on my doorstep by tomorrow.
