Look for that to happen again under Trump as the US purges all the illegals and noncitizens from its borders and financial rolls. The US should close its borders for the next decade and concentrate on its own citizens and infrastructure. The US never claimed to own the planet but was the only power willing to keep international sea lanes open and the only power willing to face down terrorism and rogue nations with nuclear powers. Without Trump the world and its economy have gone to shit. The fact is that if two young women late teens early twenties go to work in a coffee shop in a foreign land both whom say that in their homeland their lives are in danger..... I tend to believe them over what the warmongering press tells me. The point is the girls were telling me this BEFORE the Russian invasion. I had no idea that there was conflict in the region. I had a similar experience when I met a young fellow from Iraq. At the time when Ronald Reagan was POTUS the western media was touting Saddam Hussein as a war hero as he bravely threw Iraqis into the fray against Iran. The young fellow described what an evil man Saddam was and told me about how his entire family had to flee because one of the family had offended some official in Saddam's government. I was flummoxed. Who to believe the young guy who fled Iraq or the media. I hedged my bets. Suddenly under Bush it was clear that the young Iraqi was telling the truth. I now wonder why I ever doubted him. Knowing as I do now that the media is simply the propaganda arm of the permanent government.
