Senator Marco Rubio Demands Biden Fire Pete Buttigieg Over Handling Of Ohio Train Disaster

The train derailment and chemical burn in Ohio was one disaster. The other disaster is Pete Buttigieg and the Biden administration’s response.

Buttigieg has been virtually invisible throughout this, and when he does comment he makes excuses.

Now Florida Senator Marco Rubio is calling for Biden to fire Buttigieg over the awful response.

Buttigieg is an unmitigated disaster, typical of the loony woke left that has taken over the Democrat party.

I miss your limericks. You're the bestly.

@PatKirby Good Lord what a grim thought! 😦

@JimBeam

Thank you.

I do post a limerick here every couple of days or so.

Buttigieg is completely incompetent. As mayor, he was know as "Pothole Pete" because he NEVER fixed the roads.

Magnify that by the scope and size of the transportation infrastructure of an entire nation, and you get some idea of how incompetent BIDEN is for appointing him.
@4meAndyou He’s another person picked for reasons other than competency or the ability to master his task(s). He needs to be removed.
For an administration and so called President so concerned about climate change , they should have been on this immediately to “ mitigate” what they could. The President could have had an EO done which is the de facto running of this government and country and overridden any bureaucratic horseshit and gotten federal resources there quickly. He could have EO’d saying Palestine WAS a disaster. He’d have been covered under the FEMA glossary of disaster and federal response.

@soar2newhighs Red states get no help from the left-wing nut-job marxists
graphite · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 Voted Trump, flipped a Senate seat red, Republican governor - the people in Ohio can rot, as far as Biden's concerned (except probably in the major cities that vote Democrat.)
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The fallacy of blaming Trump is that braking had nothing to do with the derailment. It was caused by a wheel bearing which gave out. So to be fair the derailment wasn’t caused by Trump or butt plug Pete. Pistol Pete IS responsible for the terrible response which has resulting in ever expanding deadly effects some of which will last forever.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Of course. In fact it seems already underway. IF Don Lemon still has a job next week we know he will be whining. @DavidT8899
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@jackjjackson He will still have a job.No matter how incompetent and ignorant he is,he's still has the race/sexuality card to play
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The only thing left for him is the midnight to 6 AM shift if he is very lucky. @DavidT8899
graphite · 61-69, M
Nobody Biden hired is going to get fired. Biden's strategy for this disaster has been: Gather top Democrat Party researchers; have the researchers look over rail regulations changed during the Trump Admin, try to find one that can be used to pin the disaster on Trump. Rinse, repeat. Biden couldn't care less about those people, unless they were illegal aliens or Democrat voters.
Apparently the Incident in Palestine Ohio is not yet deemed a “ disaster”. The FEMA glossary of terms goes into what a disaster is and who can declare it so in order to render federal aid under FEMA. It is the president.
Hey this is OUR government at work.
Hopefully everyone remembers that under Bush, his EPA head, Whitman said the air around ground zero in 2001 was “ safe”.
I guess they’ll be telling that to the residents of Palestine, OHIO, too, if they haven’t already!
graphite · 61-69, M
@soar2newhighs Their pets and farm animals are dying now; it will take a bit longer to fully impact humans. 😪
@graphite It would be interesting if PETA got involved to find out the cause of these animals’ deaths in light of the derailment and subsequent actions taken.
@graphite The animals may well suffer sooner. The population might find out years later. Rest assured that’s what the government and insurance entities want, as well as NS who’d face legal
Issues.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
But Budwick, you can't be too hard on Pete-hes GAY!
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Hold on there boys. I hope you’re not saying Pistol Pete makes YOU HARD LOL 🤣😂🤣? @Slade @DavidT8899

Yeah, THAT sounds normal,.... not.
TexChik · F
Replacing one idiot with another isn’t going to solve anything . With so many EPA and NTSB laws in place , these chemical spills are either allowed or intentionally caused .
Carissimi · F
Fire the head of the EPA as well. They are useless, unless they are persecuting private citizens for watering their plants.
SusanInFlorida · 31-35, F
Sure sign that Rubio is running for president again.

There are lots of reasons to think Buttigieg is in over his head, but the train derailment probably isn't one of them. The federal government has given the short shrift to all infrastructure - rail, bridges, highways, federal buildings - for decades. There are something like 2,000 bridges in danger of imminent collapse.

Inviting Buttigieg to a hearing makes for a good 30 second sound bite, but little else.
beckyromero · 36-40, F
What has this administration and the 117th and 118th Congress proposed or has done differently as to rail safety compared to the previous administration and the 115th and 116th Congress?

Blame needs to go all around.

There is no excuse for a train hauling that big of a load in toxic chemicals.

It should be a given that there ought to be speed limits, car limits, double-hulled tankers and more safety inspections by government inspectors. Workers should be encouraged to report safety violations to a toll-free hotline.

But before assigning "blame," the mess needs to be taken care of, residents need to be taken care of and the land and water needs to be taken care of. And if it bankrupts tNorfolk Southern, so be it. Then the federal government needs to pick up the rest of the tab. Not 10 or 20 years from now. But now - as well as 10 or 20 years from now for resulting long-term medical issues.

The residents need to run away and never go back. The class action lawyers will get them $ for houses, belongings and all health damages and risks. If a resident who has fled is reading this, we will put you up for awhile.

What we know about the 'toxic soup' of chemicals released in Ohio train derailment: TWO are linked to cancer while others cause convulsions and vomiting

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11754687/What-know-SIX-toxic-chemicals-released-Ohio-train-derailment.html

[

* Six hazardous chemicals were on board the train cars that derailed in Ohio
* There are fears the chemicals have leaked into the ground and nearby water
* Public Utilities Commission claimed the toxic train was not hazardous
* The EPA said no homes screened so far show detections of vinyl chloride]

They just replace one stooge with another.
It’s best to keep the devil you know and sue them repetitively to follow the constitution
Look at the top 3 holding companies of Norfolk Southern, and realize these same companies own US politicians. Nothing will happen.

I'm guessing Joke Biden has to know sexuality and gender of the people involved first.

If he’s responsible for clearing things up, is firing him before the job is done the right thing to do?

jackjjackson · 61-69, M

That's overreaching.
Youre not gonna change anything by firing him.🙂
