Is this really true? What is the source of your information?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@monte3 If they want to hurt America, all they have to do is rig every single item we legally buy from them with enthusiasm.

4meAndyou · F
It bothers the hell out of me. I know each state has their own laws regarding sale of lands to foreign governments, and I know the Chinese have been using go-betweens in those purchases to try to mask the fact that they are the ultimate owners of that land, but state legislatures in blue states need to get a clue, for sure.
JimBeam · M
@4meAndyou

They're also buying up farmland and fertilizer. They aren't growing anything, they just want to prevent us from growing things.

@ManKing Just to toss it out there, Germany takes in more migrants than the U.S. and India takes in more illegal immigrants. We have the most legal immigrants from other countries.
JimBeam · M
Half of us are that stupid.

Gee, a hostile communist gov't that has purchased and stolen US military secrets over the years, is intent on taking down America, is buying up farm land, and land near military bases...what could possibly go wrong?
@hunkalove bwahahahaha! Sure...now, go take your meds like a good little bot.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@BizSuitStacy Like I said, simply ban rhe Chinese goverment from buying anything American.Problem solved.
@DavidT8899 Yep. It's a no-brainer.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
What is more outrageous is the Wall Street hedge funds and the ultra rich like Jeff Bezos are buying up whole developments and most houses that go on the market. Americans are being condemned to be renters forever.

Foreign land ownership? Monitor the properties. Soybean farms aren't like covert tracking stations.
Carissimi · F
It’s The Great Reset. @Crazywaterspring
This is what you need to stop all this Biden bull shit [image]
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Graylight Well, let me point out that Ive never actually LIVED in cold-war Russia,Mexico during the height of the narco-wars or the poorest parts ofcthe Middle-East;Ive only read about the conditions of such places. Its still more than enough to convince anyone of any intelligence that they are not disireable places to live in.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@DavidT8899 Well, then I guess you’re an expert and none of these things.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
Ok,but Im not sure what that means........
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
It would probably be a good idea to ban the Chinese government from buying ANY American property.
If you think that’s stupid. The Australian government allowed the Chinese to buy the Darwin port (perfect place to build a navy base) and other ports around Australia too.
ron122 · 41-45, M
Democrats are that stupid.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@ron122 Well, we can't be busy running all the failing cities, working as the nation's farmers and still have time for real estate.
Ynotisay · M
But is the US government really letting China buy farmland near a base? Or is it in the process of being reviewed? And did the government sell the land or did the land owner sell it? Right now China, which is like any other foreign investor, owns something like 0.1 percent of U.S. ag land. The plant they're proposing will be run by Americans with American employees.
Personally, I'm against foreign land investors. And that includes real estate. But what this issue is about is fearmongering by Republicans. It's ironic considering how Republicans have, for years, pushed overseas manufacturing. This is about creating an enemy to distract in my opinion.
That way we won't have all those expensive sabotage trials. They can just bike over and get the information.
JimBeam · M
You really hit a nerve with the Chinese trolls on this site. Good job.
Ontheroad · M
Another right wing troll inciting and baiting other right wing trolls.
Ontheroad · M
@JimBeam Which proves nothing except you know nothing. Someone says they disagree and you go straight the right wing rhetoric toolbox and accuse them of not being American. It would be hilarious were it not so sad, tired and entirely over used.
JimBeam · M
@Ontheroad

Trump bothers me more than anything else I know of . ( I for one don’t have a very high opinion of him and his double talking deals).
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@ManKing Not many.Though keep in mind that as for myself,I obviously use social media-after all,I use this sight!-I dont LIVE in it.And as far as Hollywood goes,it usually affects my opinions in the sense thats its best to think the OPPOSITE of what they do!

@ManKing What can I say? Most of my generation are sheep.Trust me,its a frustrating thing to deal with!
Graylight · 51-55, F
Because all Chinese are nefarious?

Yes, we're that stupid. If we used the land for progress and sustainability and didn't nakedly worship capitalism without limits, it wouldn't be possible. This is a result, not a problem.

Why are a rightwinger's questions always so end-of-the-world dire?

I voted for $2.00 gas, and you voted for $5.00 gas.

Joe is taking care of everything, and all the other countries love him.
They are buying farmland also. Population of China 1.4 BILLION (2019)
@DavidT8899 I haven't seen you write a comment about 'what is clearly there' yet.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@softspokenman You'd only deny it anyway.
@DavidT8899 🤣 BS
redredred · M
Superficially it bothers me but keep in mind, when China buys US property it is putting its assets under our jurisdiction and legal control.
redredred · M
@ManKing two different matters. Land is under local, county, state and federal jurisdiction. Acreage doesn’t vote democrat and rarely moves very far do the feds don’t encourage it’s presence. The local, county and state authorities however see property tax revenue so they do pay attention .

@ManKing if anyone still thinks government, at any level, acts honestly and with good intentions, I have some seashore lots in Nebraska for sale.
Yes we are that stupid.
Are we gonna go there without talking about the privatized real estate system also making millions of Americans poor and homeless?
You bet!
But how was the play, Mrs Lincoln?
This is only a thing because we’ve been selling arable land and water rights to China, Saudi Arabia, and other enemies of the United States for some time.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
Who is selling those properties? The owners are the one to blame.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
If someone is profiting from it then, yeah, we are that stupid.
Carissimi · F
They are not stupid. They are greedy traitors.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Is this our biggest issue right now or is it just something you decided to focus on because it is easier than the rest of the shit in the pile?
Riverman2 · 56-60, M
@JaggedLittlePill who said anything about biggest anything?
caesar7 · 61-69, M
Lol...money talks bud...money talks.
