Does it bother anyone else?

That the USA government is letting China buy properties next to our military bases? Are we really that stupid?

Gee, a hostile communist gov't that has purchased and stolen US military secrets over the years, is intent on taking down America, is buying up farm land, and land near military bases...what could possibly go wrong?

@BizSuitStacy China is not and has never been a Communist country. It is a totalitarian bureaucracy and even more capitalist than the U S and A. And America has never been a Democracy. It is a plutocracy, government by and for the wealthy.
