@Ontheroad I'm aware of the American revolution and why the constitution was written. Dosent mean I understand the absolute devotion to it. Following anything dogmatically is just unhealthy and single minded

@Guitarman123 Okay, now we are getting to what you want to say. The right wing can't be lumped into one big group. I do agree that a large number of them are totally caught up in not nationalism, but their own views/dogma. The point is, they are a minority, a small minority, like maybe 30%. They can't and will not, in the end, win out. They will have enclaves, but that's it. The same goes for the ultra leftist. Both of these groups are loud and both of them hold sway, but in the end, neither group will win. Freedom and Constitutional government is messy, but it works. In the end the majority will hold sway.

Or the same guy that posts a book every time a statistic is posted, on "how to lie with statistics". @Guitarman123 I understand you folks don’t have a written constitution (not since the Magna Carta) but you do have Acts of Parliament and other guidelines.
Ours is not the only country with a written constitution, btw. There are more that do than don’t. I’m guessing that when it needs to be updated, it is, also.
