When I was in school you learned to blow things off. If a bully didn't stop you knocked the crap out of him or her and the problem was solved. And back then there were boys and girls. Try as hard as you want there are still boys and girls, men and women. Him and her. Male and female. The DNA doesn't change. How you were born is what you are.

I don't agree with the "sexual" harassment charges (since been dropped by the way.) But we also don't know what happened so we can't make an opinion. We don't know their previous relationship and we don't know what was said leading up to the events.
I will say this, the kid said in a recent Daily Mail article that he can say whatever he wants because it's his 1st amendment right. The person who they misgendered could have gone full psycho on them sure... but most normal people don't say "it's my free speech" if there was nothing wrong said. It implies guilt, it doesn't mean they did anything but it is implied.
If I was in that situation and I was truly innocent I would say something like "they didn't tell me what they preferred and they just went psycho on me for no reason, I don't understand what I did wrong." What I wouldn't do is say "it's my right to call you whatever I want and I can do whatever I want to you."

@Turtlepower Oh... I guess it sounds off because the kid isn't denying that "something" was said with pleading about free speech. Out of all the things that could be said and one says "my free speech though." Only people who plan on saying something they know bothers the other person says that.

It's not like it was an "accident". Kids bully other kids.
Some kind of consequences are in order for three boys purposefully harassing and distressing another person. Perhaps whatever the policy is for bullying?
However perhaps the school is crap at dealing with bullying which is why it escalated to sexual harassment charges so as to kick up a fuss. That's the only way parents get attention from school administration to deal with a problem
