FYI, there have been numerous gay priests in years go by. Some of the worst sexual offending happened in the church.

@BohoBabe nah sex is biological and gender is how one feels correct? so by that logic, gender is not reality. Feeling like a cat, does not make you a cat and certainly does not mean others have to treat you as one.
That is a overexaggerated example with using a cat but it still applies. If anyone can identify as whatever they want now , how far should it really go and why do others need to be punished for not going along with it?
I understand being civil and kind to people at calling them what they want but a lot of people take it to a ridiculous level now

@Torsten It's more that gender is a culture which society assigns to people based on sex, but really anyone can be.
A cat isn't a culture, it's an animal. A human can feel like a cat, but can't actually be one because you can't change your species. But anyone can adopt the woman gender and be a woman.
It's really as simple as accepting that gender is about self-identity, not biology.

@BohoBabe but you can not change your sex like you can not change your species. You can live as one for sure though but that does not make you really that.
The cat example is a ridiculous one but one that actually exists. have you not heard of trans species before?

@Torsten Yes, we all agree you can't change your sex, at least not fully. You can become inter-sex through meds and such, but that's about it. But trans people change their gender, not their sex.

Transspecies is kinda like the western equivalent of the chinese zodiac. They don't actually claim they can change their species, it's more like a culture where people identify with an animal.

@Baremine Sex is how you are born. Gender is a social construct. You can identify as a man, trans, whatever you like and God bless you! However, if you were born a man, you will never carry a child in your uterus. If you were born a woman, you will never impregnate a woman. You can change your gender, but you cannot change your sex.
