For those of you bitching about witnesses not being cross-examined

at the jan. 6 hearings.
This is not a trial.
Defense attorneys are not allowed in grand jury proceedings.
That is all.

The base right wing supporters won’t be happy until Trump is back in the Oval Office. They don’t care how he gets in.

Whether any of that will actually happen is a whole different matter.

Ahh, but the Jan 6 committee had no official powers other than to lie and prevent Trump from defending himself against their charges. Now it seems they obstructed justice to make their narrative ring true to the sheep, and fear going to jail for very real charges once Trump wins.

Trump had an open invitation to testify in front of the j6 committee. And, he has had the full attention of the country for almost a decade. Any defense of himself he has been able to voice. And everyone hears.

It's worth mentioning that members of a grand jury are selected at random from a fair cross section of the community in the district or division in which the federal grand jury convenes.

And they certainly aren't hand picked partisan political hacks :)

:) Every time Joe Biden slips in the polls the panel of political partisans come up with new compelling and irrefutable evidence about Trump. We are in year 6 of compelling and irrefutable evidence by these clowns. The only thing that they are accomplishing is to assure that if and when the the voters replace Democrats with the other party, the American people will get to hear all the compelling and irrefutable evidence about Joe Biden.

@Heartlander and congress is a representation of those very people.
The right had every opportunity to join the process. They chose not to. Given a second chance, they elected to try and put two people on the committee that had their hands in the event that took place.
Was there no one else available to serve, or was Mccarthy being short sighted to choose not to participate? I think the latter.

They are not. Judging from the sharp divide on practically every issue before them, it's pretty obvious that members of congress represent their political party and not their constituents.
