This is not a trial.
Defense attorneys are not allowed in grand jury proceedings.

Exactly. This is not a trial. As for participation in the process, it was McCarthy and his band who refused.

@Graylight i find it difficult to understand how grown adults, that can obviously read and write, have no grasp on how this all works. And have no compunction about not wanting to know.
