Who the hell even is George Soros. I've been told for years that I idolize and revere him but I don't even know what he's famous for, or why.

Can somebody give me like the Cliff Notes summary of Soros?
SW-User Best Comment
Every leftist gets told they're on his payroll at some point or another. It's like a rite of passage.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@SW-User I never received my Soros bucks! Who do I complain to?

AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
He’s a sith lord . Lol
@BlueMetalChick You are of talking of what happens in America?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@thewindupbirdchronicles No, I'm talking about what has happened in Yemen.
@BlueMetalChick That's fine - in some way it will get mixed, and there does seem to be some who take the argument "america the good"
RVLPreborn · 22-25, M
He is a Jewish billionaire that lived through the holocaust as a kid. Anybody who saw that shit happen and grew up to be wealthy would most likely give a lot of their money to progressive causes. Not really the boogie man that conspiracy theorists portray him to be. In fact, there are billionaires even scarier than him that control basically every local news network in America and hand down strict quotas on what to show. You don’t hear about them because they literally own the news and shake hands with the ultra rich.

But sure, a guy giving some teenage kids money to better themselves must be the worst person in the world.
RVLPreborn · 22-25, M
@SW-User I rather research facts and not accusations so take a hike, buddy
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@RVLPreborn Dawg says that nobody in the entire Bush administration ever said that we invaded Iraq because of 9/11 and it was entirely because we're benevolent humanitarians who wanted to liberate the Iraqis from Saddam Hussein. But that we definitely did NOT accuse Hussein of orchestrating 9/11. So yeah, he's definitely a history denier.
RVLPreborn · 22-25, M
@BlueMetalChick What a great job of liberation the US has done. The middle east is in a much better spot than it was 20 years ago….. oh the irony of these deniers
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
He pays me to mock morons on SW. Each comment - five sorosbux.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@independentone 2.95, but you have to know the secret handshake.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@QuixoticSoul he’s not a mason. Lol
SW-User
@QuixoticSoul You must be involved in a lot of self-criticism.
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
He's some Jewish billionaire who apparently donates a lot of left-leaning causes and somehow has everyone in the entire world that right-wing idiots disagree with on his payroll simultaneously.

Honestly, I think they chose him because it reflects their thought leaders being paid by billionaires to make arguments against any sort of helpful change, and the fact he's Jewish and... well we know how right-wingers tend to feel about Jews
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@KiwiDan because it reflects their thought leaders being paid by billionaires...

They believe that because they themselves are guilty of it. They project so much
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@ViciDraco Repeat after me: Republican accusations are confessions.
Right wingers are absolutely obsessed with him because he gives money to all these left wing causes, whats crazy is look at what he donates to and think rationally it's stuff like amnesty international, a group that protest the us policy of waterboarding as torture.

Oh noes. What an evil cause! /sarcasm.

All the man seems to do is give money to humanitarian causes and that causes them to go apeshit.

Honestly actually looking into "defund the left" and what soros actually funds is part of how I came to DESPISE The right wing. Soros's political interventions are benovolent, the difference between him and someone like Charles & David Koch is stark, Koch is malevoyant, Soros is benovolent. A sane country would come after the kochs with pitchforks and torches and put them on trial for high treason.

But we don't live in sane country. It's true, The Democratic billionaires are better people than the republican ones.

George Soros made billions of dollars in the currency exchange markets. To summarize why that is wrong: it doesn't generate any economic growth, but gains $ money on the shifts of currency exchanges... meaning, billions for him (and others like him) who are paying attention on a daily basis - and without spurring economic growth it's a zero-sum exchange, i.e. - normal investors lost $ billions to him. It's legalized theft.

So what's he done with the money - support on a massive scale, far-left parties, movements, organizations throughout the world - causing significant havoc in many democracies. Nearly all the Attorney General's (AG) in states and cities that have released large numbers of criminals, declined to prosecute 3/4 of even violent crime, and have created that turnstile in jail because no one is ever held on bail - is the most direct cause of the massive increase in murders and crimes in America. Secondary causes are even't close. it's directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds (probably thousands), and the destruction of so many businesses and jobs.

So yeah... that's who he is. He wants to destroy countries in order to create a centralized control, for only those one political bent. Yup.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User I personally believe that nonviolent drug offenders should be released from prison because I don't believe drugs should be illegal to begin with. People who make and ship drugs is a bit of a different story. I can see a case to be made that there should be legal punishment for distributors and drug kingpins and stuff like that. But even drugs like cocaine or heroin or speed, I don't think you should go to jail for having them or for using them. A lot of drugs I think should be legalized and regulated, most notably cannabis but also psychotropics like magic mushrooms, LSD, DMT, or mescaline. Other drugs like coke, heroin, meth, or speed, I think should be legal but not commercially sold. So like, if you get your hands on some, you should be able to use it, but it's not like you can go to the store and buy it.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick I don't disagree... but... that process... which had bipartisan support.. has now evolved into large number of violent criminals and murderers being constantly returned to the streets. So yes... I agree with you - but not for those who commit violence against others.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User That process only has bipartisan support in nominal conversations. Both parties take a tremendous amount of money from the private prison industry, who wants drugs to remain illegal so they can increase their profits.

He donates to just causes. Pretty simple.

@BlueMetalChick Haha... no you didn't.. You're still in denial that US Congress authorized both wars. Really... you need new sources.
I do feel embarrassed... for you. Because you literally know nothing about what you speak of. Nothing. You won't admit to facts that were clear decades ago, you continue with arguments the left doesn't even use... decades ago... because they were debunked. Since what you say is factually incorrect... it's odd that you claim not to follow the corporate news, though of course you parrot their long-debunked assumptions. As for Cheney - he doesn't say that was torture - and it certainly didn't meet the definition thereof. You made a circular argument - and you're still defending it, as if it had any validity.

Typical left. When confronted with reality - claim that others are lying. You're too grown to behave like this.

Much like the name Rothchild it is mostly code for "rich jew" since these idiots have to use euphemisms now. He is supposedly associated with the left which is kind of idiotic since in real life he spent a great deal of his fortune undermining leftist governments in Eastern Europe.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
He's super rich and reputedly liberal -- enough to cause massive hate for him among certain groups.
Zeuro · 26-30, F
He’s just a liberal billionaire philanthropist. Fun fact about him though, he’s actually a native Esperanto speaker. His last name “Soros” is Esperanto for “will soar”.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@AthrillatheHunt She didn't even say anything good about him lol how does that seem like he paid her.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@BlueMetalChick I was messing w her. Hahaha

@AthrillatheHunt
I know you mean well but careful, that’s like poking a stick at an angry Chihuahua with teeth.
Dan509 · 26-30, M
He's my god-like idol, it would be my greatest honor for him to sacrifice me so he can drink my blood, inject my youthful DNA, and keep funding Marxist causes till the end of time
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
Ikr, only times I hear about him is on conspiracy posts. At some point I thought he was just made up. I googled him once but forgot what he is.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@BlueMetalChick OANN is as legit the the National Enquirer reporting on Secretary Clinton adopting space alien babies. Epoch Times is a newspaper pushing nutty conspiracies.
Northwest · M
He was in charge of the Nazi program to strip Hungarian Jews from their belongings, and ship them to concentration camps.

Fuck him, he doesn't pay that much. I'm on the Gates payroll now. Unlike Soros, Gates has nukes.
He's a nice boychik from Hungary.
