Calling out Republicans

Their shameful silence on 1/6 with their long professed patriotism and believe in American exceptionalism.

America doesn't look so exceptional right now and the Republicans don't look so patriotic.

I'm not talking about the people who marched on the Capitol. Most of them seem to have been misled and stupid not pure evil.

I'm talking about every Republican in the house but two who defends by their silence or words or actions and attempt to overthrow the government of the United States

And I'm calling out every Republican here to explain why every word of what I said isn't right.

Idiotic post. I don't remember ANY democrat calling for an immediate halt to the riots, burning, looting of cities and disruption of last year. And that went on for months and months. Your rant is ignorant on its face and you're clearly a partisan hack.

I can go on and on including the left's support of the chaos biden created at the border. Talk about looking non-patriotic. 🙄
carpediem · 61-69, M
@TheSentinel I was answering the idiotic post. Why do you think I need to be fair when he wasn't? If you don't like what I said well....I don't care. 🤷‍♂️
@carpediem No one is requiring that you care.
And just as with you I was voicing my opinion on a comment that caught my attention.
@carpediem It was and remains an idiotic post.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
As opposed to this "patriot"?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarmeeMarch Quite possibly... They would be other peoples $100 bills he has managed to fleece his supporters for, in the guise of donations to his legal funds. Its a little hard to have sympathy for people that stupid. 😷
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman And poor sippy-cup has to rely on his son running influence peddling schemes to provide him with his mansions.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sunsporter1649 I really dont know where you got "sippy cup" from. Trump is the two handed drinker.😷
TexChik · F
Please what a joke .
@TexChik "The loving crowd" ? The videos must have been a movie video of some other country ? I am sure that if you were one of those 4 police officers you would have beat back every one of those raging, rioting, pro democracy "LIB'S", single handed or with your insults and no one would have gotten injured or shot ?
"Lets have a trial by combat" Rudy G "Fake News" ?
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@TexChik Are you saying Ashli Babbitt was antifa?
@TexChik Hanging an American Flag outside our homes is NOT RADICALISM, hanging a trump flag next to it is and is also HYPOCRACY !
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Oh shut up. You're entire post is partisan propaganda.
Correct. @SumKindaMunster
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
if anyone believes those skinny spit fucks who invaded the capitol THE DAY Trump was leaving office with their faces painted with a texas flag were real republicans idk how to help you 🤣

@DeluxedEdition now that is dead on .
Very true, the whole thing doesn’t make sense anyway .
Remember when trump had to go into his bunker because the White House was going to be over run with ‘peaceful protestors’...
and then the media and left spent a week calling trump bunker boy..
I just wanna remind everybody that all the cops injured that night and the church burning and such. Was nowhere near as deadly. Or an attack on democracy. Then a bunch of 70+ yr old trump voters in a crowd riddled with antifa and FBI instigators..

Just so we’re clear
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Hey, thanks for proving my point exactly. Preesh.
@LordShadowfire

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Okay, so you would still rather believe that there's a massive conspiracy by the governments of every single country on the planet to force you to get a vaccination for a dangerous disease. I'll choose to believe the simplest option instead, thanks.
Good for you. I'd love to do the same, but I don't think the people your calling out care much about patriotism or American exceptionalism other than as ways to get votes.

And rubbing their noses in their hypocrisy and dishonesty only goes so far when so many voters still these things as a positive.

As for Republicans here. 🍿
REInvNJ · 61-69, M
@TexChik I remember this claim very well and I have been unable to verify it to any reasonable degree. Attorney general William Barr did say it but he is not nearly any more reliable than pelosi which is to say not at all.

There are a couple of news articles the point to a link at the United States secret service but that link is dead. Even though this wasn't about an insurrection this would be very serious if true does anyone have proof of it?
@TexChik I remember the riots and I remember Trump threatening the rioters.

I thought some of those quotes are taken out of context and from different times, though.
@TexChik Yes, it is hypocritical to oppose one without opposing the both. All of these radicals need to be rounded up and locked away for the good of my country.

.

libs! 🙄
TexChik · F
@whowasthatmaskedman dude put the weed away. You dont know federal election law or the constitution.
REInvNJ · 61-69, M
@TexChik whose ass should be in prison and what does 1932 or 1832 have to do anything
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@TexChik And you get vaccinated. 😷
akindheart · 61-69, F
hmmmm. could it have been a set up on Trump? could the Dems have seen an opportunity to use insurgents to infiltrate the capitol. that is what i believe. and no you are not right. the gates were opened to these people to come in. i saw it. i did see an air force lady get shot too. she wasn't in the building.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
As a conservative, I have no respects for most Republicans these days. They do nothing. However, your statement is ridiculous and a load of BS.
@Carissimi So the Republicans don't support the Government and tried to change the outcome of a Presidential election. The Capitol Police stood up for the Democracy of the country and the Republicans shit on them. The Republicans feed anti vax conspiracies and their own base is dying now because of it and you believe the Democrats are the traitors? Did I get that right?
REInvNJ · 61-69, M
@Carissimi kindly explain how a conservative a group that typically respects the rule of law can tolerate legislators putting up with an attempt to kill democratic selection of our leaders.
And I'm calling out every Republican here to explain why every word of what I said isn't right.
Let's see, you said -
America doesn't look so exceptional right now
I agree - Biden and company look ridiculous, the lies are never ending.,

Speaking of 1/6 - how about the dems get on with giving those imprisoned some justice? Maybe, they should just drop- charges like they do for BLM and antifa?

While you're handing out shame, be sure to give the Biden administration a full measure.
I mostly feel badly for their kids since the Delta variant is also affecting children
Not all republicans fit that mold. There are still some who hold to traditional conservative values, and are mortified at the direction the party has taken.

Sadly the Republicans have embraced insurrection, anti-police rhetoric, and authoritarian ideals to cater to a "base" of people who support such acts. Essentially, they are using each other, ironically, in ways that are detrimental to each of them. It's a classic case of self-sabotage.
Powderflask · 31-35, M
Oh ok. I’m a libertarian. 🤘🏻

They're aware that only the most ardent fascistic supporters of the right wing would migrate to the US.
They'll refuse. Or if they do show up, it'll be with more whataboutism, aka the "tu quoque" fallacy.

@MarmeeMarch But you have no problem with the Republicans in Congress who support the insurrection. Which would be all of them except Cheney and Kitzinger.
