Oh right, I'll explain this. Trump goes on and on and on about how he's richer than God, so if he's richer than God it stands to reason he must pay a shitload in taxes but if he's only paying $750 in tax it means either he's lying about being richer than god OR he's a tax cheat.

You could just say "I don't know how taxes work" instead.

It just shows how fucked up the tax code is. We need to tax the rich a lot more than we do now, along with a wealth tax.

However, Trump is under audit for around $70 million in questionable deductions, so it’s not just that he only paid $750.

This thread for instance, is a clear example. The guy who pretends to be this great businessman, has never done anything successful in his life. Bankruptcies, failed real estate ventures, hundreds of Millions in debt.

He doesn't take a salary, because he charges the government $Ms for stays at his properties. $3 for each glass of water served at Mar-a-Lago. The reason he has his state dinners at mar-a-lago, is do he can avoid paying for white house state dinners. Yes, the President has to pay for that.

There is bigger question in here about billiknaire tax avoidance that people should be angry about. Trump though is a particularly awful case cos he bends the rules so far they break. Hence his legal dispute with the IRS.

The idea that a tax refund for ordinary Americans is the same thing as a coorupt billionaire cheating his taxes to pay less than a teacher... is for the birds. Its such a ridiculous and desperate straw clutchibg argument.

In spite of cheating his taxes, he still managed to get a few of his companies bankrupt. Every time he protected his owm assets and left other people to get screwed. He's funded his lavish lifetyle on debt whilst building a brand based on bullshit. Which is all, come to think of it, a really apt analogy for the Trump presedency.

I overpaid my taxes last year because I have to pay estimated taxes. For all intents and purposes, ingavebthebUSban interest free loan. But, even though I got a refund, I still paid many times more in taxes than $750 and I drive a Ford, live in a modest home, and don't stiff all of the workman who help me!

A tax refund just means that the withholding was too high. If you look at how much tax you actually paid it’s more than 750$.

Since Trump implemented his 2017 so called tax cuts...I went from 2800 tax refund to paying in 3100 each yr. So let him pay his fair share!

Paying 750 in total taxes has nothing to do with getting a refund. A refund just means your employer withheld more tax than was necessary.
