A great video for every mouth breathing activist who claim police need to work on deescalation. Had they went in rough and gruff to begin with this would be a different matter probably.
@CoffinFeeder Well then someone finally did something right.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
No idea why after seeing this video. @CoffinFeeder
Graylight · 51-55, F
@CoffinFeeder Yeah, because going in "rough and gruff" for a suspected counterfeit bill is sound policy.

DarkMoon · 22-25, M
I counted and he tells them he can't breathe TWENTY SEVEN times.
TWENTY SEVEN TIMES.
And you think this video favors the police?
There are none so blind as those who will not see.
@MarmeeMarch If you can't take the heat don't go to bat for a bunch of thugs.
@MarmeeMarch Real rich coming from a guy making excuses for murderers.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I just hope you are never a juror for a case of mine. Wait --- no I hope you would be a juror - thanks for getting me off some pretty bad charges..........................mental
No wait - I'm white so I am dead 😔

PS - His blocking is such sweet, but welcome, sorrow.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
I wish that was shown sooner. The Mainstream Media just made people complete Retarded
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@FreestyleArt They don't care. It would not make any difference at all. They have been promoting racially divisive stories all year.

Remember the jogger in Atlanta?
The lady in New Orleans who was killed by a no knock raid?
The lady who called the cops on a black man in Central Park?

The MSM has been promoting these stories all year in the hopes that it would cause riots and chaos just like we saw.

This is coordinated and controlled at the highest levels.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
From the way they were talking it wasn't because of racism. Floyd didn't have just one counterfeit 20, they had several. Floyd chose to struggle and from the cops point of view that was suspicious.

And the store owner at the end, I couldn't really catch it but I could swear he says that it looked like they were high.

I'm not completely sure but the store owner also said he didn't know why the bystanders were heckling the cops.

Not only that, he didn't die immediately with the police, he was still alive in the back of the ambulance.

All this hatred and all this rioting, holy shit.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@SW-User That's a lot of what ifs. There was some white dude who was crawling on the floor saying please don't shoot me while crying. He got shot in the head awhile back.

I wish people would read my full comments. I didn't say it absolved them from anything, they should have left him in cuffs but sat him upright while waiting for the ambulance. I'm just saying that after viewing the video, it's easy to think he was doing that in purpose since he was like that from the beginning.

But cops are in a position of power so I get that, it's just I don't think I can scream racism on this one.
SW-User
@SatanBurger I know the video you're talking about of the white guy being shot on the floor. I think that does hurt the racism argument, especially if the argument is general about all police and not specific problems in specific departments. The cases where the victim is black receive way more attention. Racism is always going to be difficult to prove; cops aren't just going to shout racial slurs and remove all doubt.

I guess I just don't think the video changes anything for me. It's interesting information, but it doesn't put the cops in a more favorable light as many are claiming (not saying you, just what I've seen on the internet since this video came out). It just shows how fucked up this entire situation was.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@SW-User Some of them do, I mean they do find out later that some cop charged with something had racial comments on their Facebook wall or whatever. But yeah they were kind of cold with Floyd and devoid of empathy. Even if you think someone is lying, you're still in a position of power above them. He repeatedly said he couldn't breathe, he should have been taken seriously. It's just I could see someone thinking he's been lying if refusing to get out of the car for questioning. Still, it wasn't professional.
Platinum · M
He is still a thug, who was committing a crime and should have got out of the car when told to...it was clear he was not acting normal and on drugs and was struggling with breathing long before being knelt on....but to riot and loot and protest foe this lowlife is wrong....
Graylight · 51-55, F
Imagine a white soldier, having just gotten back from overseas combat, had an interaction with the police in which they drew weapons. All other things being the same, we'd site PTSD and talk about trauma and preventing another tragedy.

Floyd was terrified of the police because he had obviously had a violent run in with them in the past. No one who's knowingly passing counterfeit money hangs out in their vehicle right in front of the store.

It took less than 3 seconds for the officer to draw his weapon after tapping on the window. He did so with aggression and vulgarity.

Floyd was resistant out of fear but ultimately compliant. He told the officers he was having breathing trouble and they knowingly ignored him.

If anything, this only enhances the stance of those calling for police reform.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SatanBurger A person's past has no bearing on an incident in progress. I know men who've spent decades in prison and they are no different from you or me. Tossing him off as a drug user or criminal is lazy, biased thinking. I agree about the bill, however.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Graylight I would agree with you if you hadn't brought up his past as a way of making his character seem good when you don't know as much as me. All I'm saying is that armed robbery would require violent clashes with the police. That's common sense I think.
Tossing him off as a drug user or criminal is lazy, biased thinking
If I did, I would have said he probably did do the counterfeit bill but I'm not.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SatanBurger I acknowledge he had a criminal past. Irrelevant.

I acknowledge he had used drugs in the past. Irrelevant.

I acknowledge he may have had drugs in his system. Irrelevant.

There is no justification for taking a man's life for anything the appeared on that full tape. It wasn't a surprise to the officers. Almost a minute with repeated pleas for air from a man who'd shown zero aggression, only resistance due to fear, which he was trying to explain for almost a minute to men shouting at him and refusing to listen. Simple 5th grade logic could have predicted his death.

The police were wrong. Completely wrong. But if his case is still murky, we can look at hundreds other unjustified deaths of minorities at the hands of the police.
SW-User
Yeah the real scenario is that the officer pulled out his gun on Floyd who wasn’t doing anything threatening. Still guilty.
SW-User
@TeirdalinFirefall at 1:27 the officer tells Floyd to put his hands on the wheel and at 1:35 Floyd complies and puts both of his hands on the wheel.
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
@SW-User Oh I thought you were talking about before he took the gun out. Yep he does.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@TeirdalinFirefall Yeah it would be pointless to lie about that to be honest.

here those policement would have been in troubke already for the very first 10 seconds... you dont just put a oaded gun inti someones face like that... and whats it about the fucking hands... i could see his hands from here
@MarmeeMarch Because another popular conspiracy theory on the right back then was that Bill and Hillary were murdering people by heart attack. You seem to love 90s conspiracy theories so I figured it would be your thing too.

White murder suspect... resisting arrest... not killed by police.

@SatanBurger yes - death was not intentional but it happened - just like that African American young man that shot a 5 year old in the face a couple of days ago. Oh but that was first degree murder.... Never mind.....
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@MarmeeMarch Wow didn't know that even happened.
@SatanBurger It happened.
NC man accused of shooting 5-year-old neighbor in head at point blank range
A 25-year-old man accused of shooting his 5-year-old neighbor in the head at point blank range in Wilson, North Carolina on Sunday night has been charged with first-degree murder in the boy’s death.

Darius Nathaniel Sessoms, 25, was arrested Monday after fleeing the scene and is in the custody of Wilson Police and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Carolinas Regional Task Force, The Wilson Times reported. Sessoms was found in a home in Goldsboro.
curiosi · 61-69, F
Once again, what many of us already knew. Any excuse to cause destruction.
kramjj · 46-50, M
Yes this doesn't mean you get to kneel on a guys neck for several minutes. However it sheds light on this incident almost certainly had nothing to do with his race nor the officer's desire to kill someone. I think 3rd degree murder is still possible. Doubtful he gets 2nd degree.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Yeah I get it, the cop was aggressive for just a counterfeit.
@SatanBurger It was definitely excessive beyond all reason. This is the kind of response appropriate for a raid on an organized crime counterfeit operation or money laundering operation not for some random guy who passed a fake 20 who may not have even been aware it was fake.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I get that, most cops would have just asked him to roll down the window. But the cop didn't give him a reason and was just going to put him into the back of a cop car.
The cop had every right to protect the citizens from this felon - by restraining him. His tactics are a reflection of how Police Chief Arredondo trains his cops, I say that because it was not only one cop involved. Chief Arredondo is a poor example of a Police Chief and should be held accountable.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow calm down - its not a carjacking
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow No I dont support cops that dont know how to do their job any more than I would support you from not doing a good job cleaning the toilets at the the bus station.
@MarmeeMarch Surprising since you seem to be making excuses for them.

Does this footage show him not being killed?
@sunsporter1649 Law enforcement in my family don't think that because they have a badge that means they can behave like thugs. These idiots are an embarrassment to the profession and a stain on those that do their job properly. One thing they teach you in the military and the police is to not disgrace the uniform. These idiots failed spectacularly on all fronts.

You only the other hand are making excuses for criminals who think because they have a shiny piece of tin the law doesn't apply to them.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow LOL, keep backing the criminal element, exemplified by the party you support and your ignorance of the law
@sunsporter1649 That would be you.
I've seen a longer one of them going into the store and talking to the store owner/worker who pointed out Mr. Floyd

I think most of us knew that was the gist of the whole thing. Now it’s there for everyone to see. Hope these cops get their jobs back.
Hikingguy · 56-60, M
I seen the whole thing. It blows the whole racial thing right out of the water.
But the big question is why didn’t he just get off his neck, especially when he was unresponsive. That is the question. Not condoning or condemning. Just a question.
@Hikingguy Not sure how this magically makes the race element irrelevant.
Hikingguy · 56-60, M
Have you watched the WHOLE thing? All 34 minutes of it? @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
@Hikingguy I have and there is absolutely nothing to support your assertion. Frankly based on what I saw I would say it shows the opposite. There is absolutely no reason for the police to have escalated that situation so quickly. Hell were I live a cop would probably be suspended for pulling a gun right away like that even if they hadn't killed him. I would also suggest that based on plenty of past evidence that if they had been white that gun would never have come out that quickly and would have had to escalate way further before that would even be an issue. I mean hell he was not even given a chance to comply with their first order before cowboy started waving a gun in his face.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Oh shit well good thing he was murdered for behaving this way.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M

Yep. They only show over and over and over that which supports their own bias and agendas. He resisted every single order issued by them. He was a drama king.

But I ain't sayin the cops were right either
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SW-User If you'd been mauled by a pit bull as a teen and it left both emotional and physical scars on you and I demanded you walk up and try to hug a growling pit bull, do you think you'd be resistant?

Floyd had already been shot by the police and hassled, whether he committed illegal acts or not.

There's a reason black parents have a special "talk" with their sons and daughters about police.
