What "world" are they living in? Certainly NOT mine.

The president and the White House also boasted about the U.S.'s response to COVID-19, with Trump saying the country has the 'lowest fatality rate'
Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said 'the world is looking at us as a leader in COVID-19'

He's been posting blatant lies from the moment he decided to get into politics. He never cared about truth or objectivity. His entire presidency has always been about feeding his narcissism by pandering to a base that will believe anything that puts him or the US in a positive light. He's living proof that people will believe anything that conforms to their pre-existing biases
Zoranna · F
@TinyViolins Totally agree with you with the exception that he was lying long BEFORE he got into politics. Nothing has changed in that regard, it's just on a grander scale now.
Trump has been clearly out of touch with reality as least since he insisted that his inauguration was bigger than Obama's. But it is the people around him, who support and parrot his narcissistic delusions, that I don't understand.
Zoranna · F
@Cinnaman I don't understand that either. They're not even willing to disagree with him. All in it for themselves and their own political career is my only guess but it's NOT going to auger well for them in the future I don't think.
It's Trump world, where if Trump says 1 and 1 make 3 and any one disagrees with him, they're an enemy of the people and mathematics is a hoax invented to make him look bad.

It's kind of moronic and a rejection of everything we've learned since caveman days, but they're all somehow convinced that he's not giving them koolaid and that the fact that people look at them with alarm for drinking it is actually proof that they're being oppressed and looked down on.
Zoranna · F
@MistyCee Yes, his malignant narcissism is SO obvious and his MO is to deflect, attack and belittle. If it wasn't so serious he could be pitied but he's such an odious creature he doesn't even leave any room for that.
Our president is a notorious liar. This is just the latest example.
And his cohorts are saving their jobs by complimenting “the emperor’s wardrobe”.
Zoranna · F
@Dominus In the words of Kellyanne Conway "Alternative Facts". That to me means "lies". Facts are facts; there is NO alternative to a fact. SMH
@Northwest I’m no doubt on that list as well, and consider it both a place of honor and a favor that he’s passing it around. Fever blocks I’ll have to use.
@Zoranna We are in fact “leading“; while other countries are getting a handle on this thing, the infection rate increases here and more and more people are dying. What a record to hold. 😒
Zoranna · F
@bijouxbroussard I know and the fact that it was preventable is truly awful. Those poor bereft families, it's heartbreaking. 😔
Caliginous · 51-55, F
🤣 I suprised he didn't add.. tremendously low, so low it can't get any lower, it's the lowest low ever recorded.. what a douche 🙄
Dominus · 36-40, M
@Caliginous I'm confident Trump is done after the election. I think he wants out too and is merely setting the stage to attempt to launch the next Fox News type media outlet. However I do think once he is out of office more people will wake up to how lousy his presidency was so it too will fail like his casinos, college, steak brand, bottled water company, etc.. etc...
nowic2 · 61-69, M
@Caliginous lo, there are definitely some sensitive little babies here
Caliginous · 51-55, F
@nowic2 so I am discovering!
Mary Trump's family tell-all book publication date moved up to July 14, 2 weeks early. I'm sure everyone has heard about it by now. Hopefully it will give us a better understanding of Trump's World. And the Muppet show that he has created.
@TexChik Like an arbitration provision?
TexChik · F
@MistyCee yep . It’s legal, commonly done , yet if Trump does it you slander him . How can you have any objectivity with that bias ? Are you really wanting socialism and the destruction of our government and way of life that badly ?
@TexChik yup, yup, and arbitration provisions are a whole different discussion.

That's not my bias and it didn't cause any objectivity problems I might have.

Finally, no, no, no, and no.

But imo, Trump's not the best alternative to or warrior against socialism, and he's a much more imminent threat to our government and way of life.

Anything about either of us we didn't know?

zoranna desperate don has change his tune at the start of the outbreak it was a hoax and now he is considering himself a great messiah that is going to save american and thinks he has done miracles keeping the death figures down from corona virus what a deluded hypocrite that man is
Zoranna · F
@smiler2012 I couldn't agree more.
Miram · 31-35, F
We are doing the opposite actually. Whenever we are having a discussion about prevention, we bring up the US as a bad example to avoid.
Zoranna · F
@Miram Exactly! That's why I asked "what world", unbelievable.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
This reminds me of when people look at murder rates. Despite being famous for gun violence, my city, Chicago, actually ranks pretty low on the list of major US cities by murder rate. The reason for that is because we calculate the rate by homicides per 1,000 residents, and in a city with 9,000,000 in the greater metro area, that means we can, and do, have the highest number of murders per year but the rate is lower cos there's so many people.

The president has been bragging about how coronavirus has a 1% mortality rate. That's still over three million people.
@Zoranna 🙋‍♂️ I agree, he is repulsive.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@softspokenman @Zoranna Y'all this guy managed to bankrupt a casino. That speaks for itself.
Zoranna · F
@BlueMetalChick Yep, I was aware of that and he must be the only one who ever has I would imagine.
He was definitely NOT the "successful businessman" he likes to pretend (i.e. lie) he was but try and convince his cult base of that; mission impossible. *sigh
nowic2 · 61-69, M
He said he doesn't joke. This is one of his best jokes. Almost as big a joke as himself.
nowic2 · 61-69, M
@Zoranna what's worse is when it happens he will blame the left & continue his inflammatory comments to exacerbate the situation
Zoranna · F
@nowic2 Without a doubt! That's part of his MO: taking personal credit for anything good that happens but absolutely NO responsibility for anything adverse. Despicable creature.
Dominus · 36-40, M
@nowic2
To me his fan base is even sadder than he. See themselves as so sharp & smart. How can that be?

It can be, in my opinion, because our government has seemingly throughout history sought to divide us based on ethnicity, religion, color, occupation/professions, etc..
His supporters are often so pathetically uninformed and incapable of rationale thought you would pity them as you would a disabled person. In reality they are not bad people but it is always comforting to blame your lack of success on the Muslims, blacks, Jews, etc.. than accept the fact you have made mistakes, not worked as hard as you should have, made bad choices in life, etc. I do not hate or harbor any bad will towards his supporters yet I will not allow them to take the country down in flames either.

This is how the U.S. is doing vs other nations..we're leading,alright!
@bookerdana It must be Fake News 😱, a hoax by The Democrats colluding with the news media to make the stable genius look bad, he has common sense. If only half of those people were tested then only half of them would be infected and only half of them would have died, now doesn't that sound more logical and truthful to you ? 🤴
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@bookerdana "Greatest country on Earth"
bookerdana · M
@BlueMetalChick Greatest Show on Earth..Barnum is laughing in his grave!🤡
Pretend you're watching "Theatre of the absurd" and it's meant to be comedy like Laurel and Hardy. Otherwise the think they are wearing us down.

The WORST you can do to a Narcissistic sociopath is to laugh at them!
@Grateful4you I often have to remind myself 🗣️ Muppet Show!
Zoranna · F
@Grateful4you There's no need to pretend: it is! Yes, United Nations, I remember it well. Tried to make out they were laughing "with" him. Deluded fool.
@softspokenman Some of the greatest comedy material I've seen comes from "Stupid things Trump supporters say" HILARIOUS!
Peaches · F
I heard it was the opposite...that we aren't doing that well at all.😥
Zoranna · F
@Peaches I know you're not and it's very sad. 😔
They're living in their own little deluded bubble but the trouble is, apart from the cult base who of course will, some people DO actually believe their BS. 😠
smiler2012 · 56-60
zoronna in that case why are the united states one of the worst effected country with corona virus they seem to be nowhere near on top of the problem so how can they say the world is looking to them as a leader in covid 19 not a very good role model is it
Zoranna · F
@smiler2012 Why? Absolute incompetence from the Trump Administration that's why.
The only person in that Administration who, despite the opposition and ignorant disregard of his invaluable knowledge and expertise, is worth an honourable mention is Dr. Anthony Fauci and he continues to advise the people as honestly as he can regardless of the despicable treatment he has been receiving.
They lied: NO country is looking at them as any sort of role model with possibly the exception of Brazil and look what's happening there.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Zoranna The president and his people have done an abysmal job, yes, but still a lot of it can be blamed on the stupidity of the populace. But that's probably because nobody in this country has a proper education and is constantly bombarded by propaganda that they genuinely believe. I've spent a considerable amount of time in Russia and they also are subjected to massive amounts of propaganda but the difference is that the Russians already know what's bullshit and what isn't. Americans haven't gotten that far yet, or at least, not as many of them.
Zoranna · F
@BlueMetalChick Yes I agree. Ignorance, ineptitude, arrogance and irresponsibility feeding the ignorant. I'm at a loss but I don't brand the whole population as ignorant as I know there ARE many million sensible, caring, educated and reasonable adults who do care, aren't brainwashed, and which I truly hope are the silent majority that will make their intelligence known come November.
Peaceful protest by book.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@softspokenman Someone yesterday told me that even peaceful nonviolent protesters are terrorists. He said that the people who were killed at Kent State University during the protest of the Vietnam War deserved it because they were domestic terrorists.
@BlueMetalChick If it wasn't for protesters he wouldn't have the freedom to say that.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@softspokenman Idiot.exe has stopped working.
Their numbers are correct

What are you disputing?
Dominus · 36-40, M
@questionWeaver I'm disputing the statement that we have the lowest fatality rate. Also that the world is looking to us as a leader in Covid-19.
By the way, there were no "numbers" provided to be "correct."

The United States has 4.4% of the global population. We have over 24% of Covid 19 deaths. This one doesn't require a mathematician. 538,058 deaths worldwide from Covid 19. 130,285 of those deaths are from the United States.

Nobody looks to last place for a leader.
Zoranna · F
@Dominus Thank you! 🥂
Dominus · 36-40, M
@Zoranna 🥂 🙂 - The numbers are accurate I started to type "over 25% of the global deaths" and remember when we were over 32% but upon checking we are currently just over 24%.
english · 56-60, M
lets face it the thicker the bullshit the easier it is for you americans to swallow ,
Dominus · 36-40, M
@english Her profile shows she is from Australia. I am from America and I supported her claim. "Let's face it" judgmental people are wrong more often than not.
Zoranna · F
@english Excuse me? I'm NOT an American. 🤨
