We are worker bees. Everything thing about us is tied to our employment.
Carazaa · F
@SW-User I think if you lose your job you qualify for another insurance ( cobra or something) until Medi-Cal starts!
SW-User
We agree on something..

@Carazaa
Carazaa · F
@SW-User I knew we’d get there 🙂

Budwick · 70-79, M
Well Comrade - government has no business in healthcare.
Too much control.
That's not what America is about.
@Budwick So its ok to name call if you are name called? You're not bigger than that?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@BiasForAction This is a person who openly supports jihad. Do you really think he's bigger than that?
@BlueMetalChick I presume that someone of that age has learned a thing or two over time
SW-User
The people on this post tho, lol

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User This is accurate as shit omg
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick It honestly never gets old because they keep doing it 😬

@SW-User I dont do memes, you know that, dahlin
fairefoutre · 70-79, M
I believe most of the countries listed have free at point of service healthcare. As we all know that national health care is wicked and communistic, Americans have a duty to be proud to lose their health insurance.
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
You all can hate ACA(Obamacare) all ya want but let me point out something you all fail to remember.
2015 & 2016...Trump says he is going to replace ACA with better cheaper insurance and drug insurance. It is almost 4 yrs into his first term and we are still waiting. So before you blast ACA maybe you ought to blast Trump for not doing what he promised.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@PTCdresser57 I'll be long dead before that happens. My heart problems are far too expensive for me to afford.
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
Now BlueMetalChick...if your heart problems are that bad you would be placed on disability which means now the government is paying for your care under Medicaid.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@PTCdresser57 I'm not from the USA. I'm a war refugee from Yemen. I was granted asylum. I have a deteriorating heart condition because I suffered a severe electric shock when j was a preteen.
Imsleepy · 26-30
Aren’t you all glad America is great again?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@LvChris When you point out that taxation is theft to the government changes its name to The Government™ and charges you Taxes™.
Imsleepy · 26-30
Exactly. I wish everyone would take the time to educate theirselves to what you mentioned. Then perhaps we’d have a chance of electing people who would actually put a policy like that into effect. @BlueMetalChick

@Imsleepy amen..snicker
room101 · 51-55, M
Maybe Americans will finally understand the difference between communism and taking care of your society.

But I'm not holding my breath!
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I love the massive fight you picked with all the chuds on here who are just spouting indefensible nonsense and silly memes.

I'd be more willing to reconsider my political views if these guys were remotely fucking coherent. Everything regresses back to the same lazy talking points.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CountScrofula Can you believe Bud, shows up here on a post about healthcare, changes the topic of discussion to fucking Hossein Salami, and then tells me, on my own post, that he changed the subject on, to "say something relevant or STFU."
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@BlueMetalChick That's what really gets me is that like... it's not a back-and-forth exchange. You respond, and he changes the topic. You respond to that and he responds with a meme mocking you. You respond to that and he resorts to some unrelated talking point.

There's no engagement. There's just talking at you.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CountScrofula It's shit like this that makes me wonder why I bother to care about other Americans. Apparently they don't fucking want it.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
Do you think the "christians" who refused to bake cakes for gay couples, would refuse resparatory care from gay nurses? 🤷‍♀️ 🤔
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Harriet03 Because of how many people were wounded but survived the shooting, blood drives were held in major cities across the country to collect donations from people to provide transfusions for those who needed it. I donated some blood at the drive here in Chicago but on my way out, I got harassed by a small group of activists who claimed that I shouldn't be allowed to give blood because the shooting was at a gay bar which meant that the victims were mostly LGBT, and that they didn't need help from non-LGBT people. So they started screaming at me and telling me that I'm a homophobe.

A second group of activists, also pro-LGBT, started yelling at the first group and telling them they were insane and that the idea that a straight person shouldn't be able to donate blood to a gay person who needs a transfusion is absurd. It escalated almost to the point of physical violence until I told them that I'm not heterosexual, at which point the tension deflated like a punctured balloon and everyone felt stupid, myself included.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick Madness!
Soooooooooo I am guessing that the people in the other countries spend money on health care on people that do not have jobs ? Cause that is prob the reason why people dont have the HC in the USA - job loss.... And it's temp....
@BlueMetalChick I'm lost - when did I say dont reply ?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch I'm lost too, because we're talking on two separate comment chains.
@BlueMetalChick 💁‍♂️I guess....
USA! USA! USA! 🎆✨🇺🇸
BlueVeins · 22-25
Data is beautiful.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@BlueVeins That's what I love so much about mathematics, it doesn't give a flying fuck what anyone believes is true or not.
Well where are all the loudmouths now - after I said:
[big]Trump Says Hospitals Will Be Paid for Treating Uninsured Coronavirus Patients[/big]
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch Because my chosen major is in jeopardy if I move anywhere else. I'll be forced into the military.

Besides, I want for the USA to get better, not just for my life to get better.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@MarmeeMarch Good advice, there's plenty of them!!
@BiasForAction Blow me -[big] HOMO[/big]

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@IstillmissEP Yeah that's nice I didn't ask you to reiterate your point, shithead. I told you to explain to me why you referred to Obama as my "sex toy" and why you tried to change the subject to his mishandling of veteran's affairs and the opiod crisis.
This message was deleted.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@IstillmissEP Then that's half of it. The other half is why you referred to him as my sex toy when you've known since I met you in 2012 that I hate the fucking guy.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
Spot the "shithole" countries!! 🤷‍♀️
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@BlueMetalChick [image deleted]
Thankfully she's classy?! 🤷‍♀️
daisymay · 46-50, T
@Harriet03 The one on the left wore it better.

The #PLANDEMIC/#SCAMDEMIC has caused the masses to completely submit to the few because tyranny is all we know now. This is 1984. #OrwellianNightmare

I look forward to crossing the river Styx. Come for me anytime, Reaper. FUCK
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Amyrakunejo I...have no idea what you're talking about. Hashtags, compound words, references to Greek mythology and British novelists. I'm thoroughly confused.
@BlueMetalChick That's okay.

I'm thoroughly exhausted by all this, and look forward to the end of it, whatever that looks like.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
This is MAGA in action.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
For those of us non-USians can you explain what that means? Does it mean that insurance companies unilaterally cancel insurance? Or do you mean that people can't pay the premiums because they aren't working?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ninalanyon Here in America, millions of people only have health insurance because their job pays for it. The virus has resulted in many companies laying off their workers, and that means they no longer have health insurance. So if they wanna go to the hospital they have to pay tens of thousands of dollars.
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
America First 🤔
akindheart · 61-69, F
my son lives in one of those countries. they have socialized medicine. govt run.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@akindheart Precisely. Instead of a ridiculous for-profit health insurance industry.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@BlueMetalChick they pay a percentage of their income which is pretty fair
User41 · 36-40, M
Ok!

Thanks for gathering the numbers for us
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@User41 At least it's something to do while stuck in quarantine.
User41 · 36-40, M
😏

Like you wouldn’t have done it if we weren’t under quarantine...

@BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@User41 Well, not at this time of day at least. I'm usually at the observatory around this period of the night.
Powderflask · 26-30, M
Interesting. Why?
Powderflask · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick no I meant the insurance companies aren't bankrupt. Why is everyone losing insurance?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Powderflask Because many people receive insurance through their employer, but with everyone being out of work, employers are revoking the benefits of their workers, either because they don't want to pay for it, or they can't.
Powderflask · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick fair enough.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Absolutely sad. My relatives in Canada pity us.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
Big shock isnt it?
MagnifiqueGirl · 22-25
Like because they can’t afford it ?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MagnifiqueGirl LOL
No, it's among the worst in the entire developed world.
MagnifiqueGirl · 22-25
@BlueMetalChick I have heard people say that USA spends a lot of money on health care
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MagnifiqueGirl Oh yeah, more money than any other country. USA spends the most money on healthcare out of anyone. But that's because we pay essentially a private tax.
Wow health is free on Australia you can get sick have surgery and not pay 1 cent
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@CherryNow Same in most civilised countries!
Carazaa · F
How did they lose their insurance?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Carazaa A great many Americans receive health insurance through their employer. Meaning since they can't work due to the pandemic, they also have no healthcare.
Carazaa · F
@BlueMetalChick but they do qualify for cobra insurance until they get medical! In all those other countries the cities ce don’t need to worry so that’s why I think we need to just do what they do, a one payer plan for everyone, so people don’t have to worry and [b]not [/b] go to the doctor when they have corona virus! I believe this also plays a role in the death rate here! The sad thing is that many didn’t even have health insurance even with a job!
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
We aren't using it anyway
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
You do good work BMC. Sometimes
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Jm31xxx When exactly do I not do good work?

Other than when I'm doing yardwork because I'm lazy afffff with that shit.
What happened to Obama Care???
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@thedarkside It is still here, but Republicans are doing their best to eliminate is so over 40 million people can be uninsured again.
Elegy · 41-45
Proves nothing... 😬

😢
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Elegy I wish that were true.
