Aren’t you all glad America is great again?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Imsleepy Oh I'm so glad. As an American, I take my freedoms very seriously, and that includes the freedom to go bankrupt from trying to pay for basic healthcare.

It really is ridiculous. I don’t understand how anyone could not support universal healthcare here.@BlueMetalChick

@Imsleepy "How you gonna pay for it?"
Same way we pay for every other essential public program.

"It takes away your freedom of choice."
Which is a good thing, because "choice" in healthcare means having to pick and choose between what you want covered, and what you don't. If you have no choice, that's because everything is covered.

"People like their current insurance company and plan."
No they don't. Not a single fucking person in America is partial to their company or their plan. They like their doctor. They like their clinic. They like the hospital they go to.

"It's expensive."
Less expensive than what we pay now so unless you're against saving money then that argument is a load of shit."

"It isn't fair to make people pay for it if they don't wanna use it."
By that logic, not everyone should have to pay a tax on the roads we drive on. Not everyone should have to pay a tax on the police department or the fire department. And that sounds like bloody fucking lunacy.

"Universal healthcare makes us like Venezuela."
Venezuela doesn't have universal healthcare and even if they did, so what? Adolf Hitler said you should be kind to animals and protect endangered species. Does that mean we shouldn't do those things because Hitler would agree with it?

@LvChris When you point out that taxation is theft to the government changes its name to The Government™ and charges you Taxes™.
Imsleepy · 31-35
Exactly. I wish everyone would take the time to educate theirselves to what you mentioned. Then perhaps we’d have a chance of electing people who would actually put a policy like that into effect. @BlueMetalChick
