Soooooooooo I am guessing that the people in the other countries spend money on health care on people that do not have jobs ? Cause that is prob the reason why people dont have the HC in the USA - job loss.... And it's temp....

@MarmeeMarch Are you kidding me right now? YES...that's the way it works.
@Harriet03 Tell me about it.......
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@MarmeeMarch Yeah. That's what universal health care means. Everyone gets it.
@Elegy Ok but it's not just because China laid this Golden Goose egg on our doorsteps - its the way it is...
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch The people in those other countries have healthcare because they pay taxes. But you probably forgot about that.
@CountScrofula OK - where does the money come from to pay for the health care ? if taxes then they must be higher than what we pay - I dont make the rules.....
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch Yep, it comes from taxes and nope, it is not more expensive. American citizens pay more than any other nation in the world for their healthcare.
@BlueMetalChick Right - so they are effectively paying for their health care - they are spending money either by taxes or by insurance. Tell me where do you want to get your heart / lung transplant ( if needed ) the USA or Uganda ?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch Uganda doesn't have a universal healthcare system and is not a developed or modernized nation. Don't play dumb like you don't know what you're doing.
@BlueMetalChick But But But - What about Mr. BO and his BO-care ?
@BlueMetalChick Using that to contrast - OK Italy or the USA -- come on - I am dying to hear this one.....
@MarmeeMarch The original post stated that people are losing their health insurance due (indirectly) to the virus. Which seems pretty awful to me. And your point is what exactly? That it's OK for people to lose health insurance because they cannot afford it?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch Jesus fucking Christ why do you people keep trying to get me to defend Obama? Is that the only thing you know how to do? "BuT wHaT aBoUt ObAmA?" What fucking about him? He was a corporate shithead who sold out to private insurance. I have far more reasons to hate him than you do.
@BiasForAction Of course not -

Health...house...car..any type of insurance is for emergencies BlueMetalChick. My wife and I pay close to 2300 per yr for ours. Plus a 2500 deductible. All I need is on emergency and that deductible is done and my bill is paid which is alot more than the money we pay each yr. Insurance isnt for every day sniffles...
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch Well that's good. It wouldn't have to happen though if people didn't receive healthcare through their employer.
@BlueMetalChick What are you bitching at me for - this is a big nation with lots of bills......
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch You bothered to comment to disagree with me. What, you expected me to say nothing?

You asked me a specific question and now you're unhappy that I replied.
@BlueMetalChick No but you are acting like it's my fault that 4 million people dont have insurance - you are just wanting to talk about socialized medicine...
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
BlueMetalChick..it is a better system than letting the government run it.
@MarmeeMarch why do you presume everyone who loses a job will be rehired? There is this thing--called an economic downturn (recession or depression) that is areal bitch to your temporary theory. And BTW, why is being without health insurance even temporarily a good thing? Cant you just admit that health insurance is rather important to people? Even those who are unemployed?
@BiasForAction I never said it was not important....But are we talking about the Virus in the post or general insurance ?
@PTCdresser57 I take it you would choose no health insurance versus government-subsidized insurance? Because that is the implication you make.
@MarmeeMarch She was saying people have lost health insurance. What the hell do you think that means?
