Health...house...car..any type of insurance is for emergencies BlueMetalChick. My wife and I pay close to 2300 per yr for ours. Plus a 2500 deductible. All I need is on emergency and that deductible is done and my bill is paid which is alot more than the money we pay each yr. Insurance isnt for every day sniffles...

And BTW, why is being without health insurance even temporarily a good thing? Cant you just admit that health insurance is rather important to people? Even those who are unemployed?
