Who are you really?

They say that people can have 4 different identities depending upon the group or situations.

Categorized as: work, family, spouse and friends.

If you can think about the traits you display in those settings how many of those actually cross over?

It is like venn diagram ....each circle overlaps the other.

I like things done in a timely and organised manner, from work to family.

Empathy and being part of a team (work or family) is important.

At work, I tend to be funny , methodical.

With family, you have to be considerate and understanding. I tend to be more serious with family.

Personally, yes there is minor difference in my personal traits at work and at home.

If something goes wrong at work, I go crazy.

But at home, I learnt that I have to be calm and not blow up on things.

You can always get another job but your family is important to you.

@scorpiolovedeep this makes a lot of sense...
I think though I may be different in that. I blow up at home and try and be calm at work.

It's something that I actively try to work on doing better. But I also know family know what buttons to press.

We all are different and react differently.

As long as we care for the people we love most.

I understand that family tests us but with time, you sort of get along with them.

Good thing is you are finding peace.

I'm the one taking care of everything to the point of exhaustion in every scenario. The one quietly trying to improve the mood and flow.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Mellowgirl Yeah I'm soul deep tired and I know nobody cares or is going to spoil me. I only give and push.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Ferric67 not good today but meh, how are you?
Ferric67 · M
@ScreamingFox why are you not good?

Me, I'm just about done with my work day...it was a tad bit slower than usual. I just remembered about a local Greek festival, which has perked my after work interest....but, I'm not motivated to travel in that direction (it's in the opposite direction of my commute home). I may stop off at the liquor store and entice my pallet with a full bodied cab

I’d say that I’m just about the same guy
Matt85 · 36-40, M
I don't know. I've had severance done.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Matt85 I don't know what that means about your personality.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Mellowgirl Have you seen the series 'Severance'? It's kinda about what you're talking about. It's about a bunch of workers who have their work mind "severed" from their none-work mind.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Matt85 no I haven't and hadn't heard of it until now. Any good?
Infamous607 · 51-55, M
Well that is kind of obvious. I wouldnt be with the church guy the same way I am with the guys at work.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Infamous607 I don't think I am no
Infamous607 · 51-55, M
@Mellowgirl well then. There's your answer
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Infamous607 I wasn't asking about myself but since you want to be deflective. Good night
JackDaniels · 46-50, M
I use to let work dictate my moods in the rest of my life. Not anymore.
1490wayb · 56-60, M
i have a real world public self, and then the part of me i can turn loose only here
One is all i can handle and dont need another
Ehhh...
...
Very little difference.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Amyrakunejo are you sure? 🤔🧐🤭
@Mellowgirl Yeah; I'm basically the same person in all four, with just a few differences. I don't compartmentalize.
