I always wonder...

I've always been perplexed as to why a lot of Muslims despise Westerners, including those who decide to relocate.

I hate islam; I pity muslims. islam is a war plan, not a religion. It was founded by a murderous pedophile and was born in mass murder. The murderous trend continues.

I know that all muslims are not to blame.
There is nothing wrong with Islam in and of itself.

I do resent not being able to carry liquids on planes or having to go through humiliating time consuming and largely ineffective safety screening because a few people choose to blow up planes and commit other heinous acts in the name of Allah.

I as an educated person can recognize that ALL MUSLIMS are not to blame… but I am not the average person and so we have hatred.

I observe people taking issue with the more blatant misogyny, interference with education, and lack of integration/homogenization to western practices,. They’re more comfortable with Christianity and other religions because much of the world, they’ve modernized.

I can’t speak for other religions, but today’s Christianity looks very different than what it was historically. Really, today’s Christianity barely resembles what it started out as. You ask people if they can relate to segments of the Bible, and you get a lot of, “Well, today, the Bible is up for interpretation!” or “ that was a different time!” responses. They have a very hard time admitting to themselves that what they actually believe doesn’t align with Christianity and in reality, they would be very unhappy if the world looked like ‘the original Christianity’.

I don't think it is true at all - but I don't disagree with the sentiment " Not all Muslims are terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslim". Much of it is a question of integration - I think that @Camelia is right.

It's not hate, it's deep-seated distrust because extremists claim their religion tells them that all those who believe in other religions and non-believers are their enemies which they could freely kill if they want to. These people give them bad name that can't be ignored for the sake of our own safety.

Most Western don't hate Muslims... they hate extremist and people that are violent against innocent people, which especially includes violent extremist.

Which yes, there are some Muslims that are violent extremist, but we hate other types just as much.

Easy... Both religions, Islam and Christianity, basically say to kill unbelievers.... That is the root cause

I think there are a number who hate Muslims, but most of us don't. We may disagree with many of the practices of Islam, but not all of Islam and not all Muslims.

I'm from Europe and I don't hate Muslims, I hate those who excuse women child and animal abuse under their religion.

Actually most of us so-called 'western' people hate Christians because Christianity is the most bigoted intolerant type of man-made religion going around.

I suppose you could ask why most muslims hate the west as well. The fact is speaking personally I can hate the religion of islam without hating the follower of the religion. They are very much separte in my mind.

while they are usually fine people on a personal level but politically they usually don't mesh with Western values and are opposed to them, which leads to increased weakness. this doesn't excuse hatred however.
