Question for people who aren’t awkward

You have to grin from ear to ear and look at everyone with your hand over your mouth. It's the only way.

This whole site is full of socially awkward people. Have you noticed most of the comments can relate to your post and reaction? We all feel the same so this honestly is probably the worst site to ask how to be socially normal lol.

I learned from observing other people and how they react. I pretty much mimic their behavior for future interactions and it’s what’s made me appear more sociable and less awkward in important situations for example like meeting my s/o parents or being in a group setting that I’m not completely comfortable around.

If you feel awkward, don't look at anyone. Out of sight, out of mind. This definitely helps me.

Mom said she zipped up and down her shirt depending on how much cleavage was needed for distraction.
They don’t even notice your performance that way!

Turn around and immediately start up a conversation or make a comment as you walk back if it starts to feel weird lol. General examples would be stuff like "What's the score now?"
"Dang, I almost got them all"
"Well that sucked"
"I'm catching up to you"

I've never actually though about it, but this question made me realize that's what I do every time I walk back lmao.

You just look at them straight in the face and say, do y'all want to see me do it again? 🤣 🤔

The answer to this question is actually wherever you want.

But in order for you to understand this you need to realize that the difference between awkward and non awkward people is that non awkward people are not directing their attention about themselves as much. Non awkward people are focusing on everything else except for themselves. So in order for you to not be awkward you must force yourself to pay attention and all your attention to your surroundings. Get lost in noticing the details of other peoples reactions when you finish bowling. Notice the sounds and think deeply about what other people are doing.

If you focus intensely enough on what is outside of you, awkwardness goes away entirely because you are too lost in noticing your surroundings.

I used to be awkward myself. It took me 40 years to know how not to be and I am describing how here.

So the answer is look anywhere you want but the real answer is everything else I said.

You look directly into their eyes unblinkingly. If you show any fear, they'll attack.

Literally why I hate bowling. It's awkward af when you turn around and everyone just stares at you in silence

Depends.if it was a good throw I walk back jumping and looking at everyone encouraging them to enjoy into the celebration of me. If it was a bad throw I uwu and walk back shyly covering my face bcs im quirky xD

Stare them boldly in the eye and proudly declare, "I meant to do that as a protest against the dictatorial uniformity of the Bowling Establishment.

When I throw a gutter ball I usually just flick my hair and scream (internally)
But when I roll a nice throw usually give a like a thumbs up or some award hand gesture 😅

I actually just look back and smile at everyone until I get to my seat. I love bowling so much lol it makes me happy

I throw the ball then don't even watch it hit the pins. I start walking back so I can watch everyone react to my throw 😅 then I sit down & drink a beer while I watch my score go up 😌
