Question for people who aren’t awkward

Where are you supposed to look when you’re returning from your turn while bowling? Do you make eye contact with the table full of people who just watched you throw another ball into the gutter, or do you avert your eyes and look anywhere else while you shuffle back to your seat?

Turn around and immediately start up a conversation or make a comment as you walk back if it starts to feel weird lol. General examples would be stuff like "What's the score now?"
"Dang, I almost got them all"
"Well that sucked"
"I'm catching up to you"

I've never actually though about it, but this question made me realize that's what I do every time I walk back lmao.

"What the hell was I aiming for?"
"I swear to God that damn pin moved"
"This is your effing fault, Frank"

Or, for a more timid selection, may I offer you:
"That was a good one" (Can be reused with words like decent and nice)
"That wasn't my best one" (greatest, proudest, etc)
"Aaayyyyyyy"
"That's how we do"
"Try to beat that"
"Okay, so it WAS the way I was holding it that messed me up"
"I think my ball is too heavy"

Or, my personal favorites:
"Take that, you bureaucratic rats"

"Dang."
And

"F you, Frank" (A middle finger MUST accompany this option- the phrase is copyrighted to the movement, and I will seek justice.)
