Not all naked pics are sexy though, right? [I Love Sexy Pics]
Let's face it; they're not. Some are, and some are not.
Well, one of the most prolific purveyors of pics on SW is my friend @Ambroseguy80. His habit of feeding SW's daily appetite for sexy guys & girls has driven his profile to over 60,000 views (and yes, I'm one of his near daily visitors).
But what makes a naked pic sexy? Everyone has a "type" and Amby certainly knows mine. In one recent comment thread, I remarked that he should just allow me to curate his posts because the ones I hearted seemed to get a higher number of hearts from the SW community at large.
Well, one thing led to another and the idea of proving that claim came to me. Okay, so here goes ... Do my fav pics rate higher? And what else correlates to higher rated pics?
My analysis went back through 55 posts from Amby and recorded many variables (male/female, tattoos, piercings, approximate boob size, "badonk" status of any butts shown, etc). Since he does not often post guys, they were dropped from my data (too low an occurrence yields statistically invalid data). Similarly, there were not enough instances of tats or piercings or body paint to analyze their influence so they were dropped as well.
So what was left? Fifty-five posts of naked or nearly naked women showing various attributes. :) On average, you all rated them up with 23 hearts with a range from 10 hearts on the low side to 46 on the high side:
Let's get to my initial claim first: That the pics I hearted were higher rated on average than the pics I didn't heart (and yes, I only used pics from before this discussion so as not to bias the results):
The pics I had previously hearted received on average 29.2 hearts. The ones I didn't heart, received only 15.5 hearts
Okay, so Amby should clearly run his posts by me for the π or π before wasting everyone's time! ;)
But what else drives hearts in the world of sexy pics? How about the presence of the woman's face? Clearly you must like to gaze longingly into our eyes, right? Nope. No impact whatsoever on the number of hearts. π
How about the presence of boobs in the pic? Does that drive hearts? Again, nope. Pics with boobs averaged ~23 hearts; pics without boobs averaged ~24 hearts (insignificant diff). But wait ... what about size??
Wait! What??? You guys all actually prefer smaller boobs?? Amby: Take note! (Size rating purely arbitrary by me π)
Butt what about butts? Lol, yes, I've been waiting to say that! π Does the presence of a naked butt in the pic drive hearts? Again, just as with boobs: Nope. You peeps don't care. Pics both with and without butts rate about the same number of hearts. Butt, what about the size of the butt? Does a Badonk-esque butt rate higher or lower than other butts?
What?!?!? Really? You SWeeps like Badonks better?? π€¦ββοΈ And of course, the official SW arbiter of Badonk status is @TexChik's comments. π
I hope you've found this exercise informative and educational. And before you criticize me for this, what did you do on your fourteen day quarantine?!?! π€¨

πΊπ¦ππΊπΈ where to start? with a confession, i guess, already made to Sara: i am pretty sure that i have not hearted any of Ambrose's posts. many comments, for sure but not the original pics. no reason, it just never occurred to me. as an avid follower, that's weird.
so i have had no input into the data.
judging from the comments i have read, i am surprised that small breasts have come out ahead of large ones. however, i think my definition of large probably starts much closer to flat-chested than most people's would.
i am pretty sure that Sara's definition of small includes many i would consider large, or at least large-ish!
i am not surprised that the larger bottom came out on top, so to speak. again, i lean towards the smaller, neater, perter bottom.
thanks to Sara for crunching the numbers, to Ambrose for bringing all this data together, and to Number One Son for persuading so many of his delightful young classmates to provide the raw material for the survey.

But I'm wondering if you commented on the pics you liked, as well as hearted them, and didn't comment (at least not as much) on those you didn't particularly like.
The reason why I bring this up is I've noticed interest in my posts and comments from others are often greater when you've commented on them, as opposed to when you have not.
The most remarkable example of this is my post on American accents. It had essentially died with a modest number of replies. Sometime later, you commented on the post, and it came to life again, with an overwhelming number of replies. It became my greatest hit thanks to you.
The point I'm making is that people are attracted to and notice posts you've replied to, presumably because they're attracted to you (understandably so) and want to be a part of whatever you're a part of.
It's of course entirely possible that my point is irrelevant when it comes to AmbroseGuy80's picture posts as his posts are obviously very different from mine. The Sara-comment factor I observed with my posts might not come into play at all with his. I just thought I'd share my thoughts about this for your consideration.

Anyway, interesting results about those badonks! I kind of always sensed that you and Tex were in the minority about those. Plump and round butts are sexy most of the time. ;)

Very interesting did you note a preference for shaved or unshaved women?
Also I'm curious about the demographics of these posts (men/women, orientation, and age). I think Amby would have to get that and I imagine it would be kinda time consuming

Interesting research, lol. But yeah, not all pics with nudity in them are sexy, or at least not intended to be. I used to go to deviantART where there was a dispute over artistic nude photography after some were abusing that label to basically make that site their OnlyFans before that became a thing. There's a clear distinction between sexy naked pics and artistic nudity.
@Carver Lol, well, since the lack of dry land under my feet was due to a deployment, this is a good thing. I am hoping to get my boat in the water in the next few weeks though. π
You do seem to have.too much free time. This is an interesting exercise though. Too bad the ratings were not a better, adjustable, variable. Then you could have looked at correlations.
It does appear that your hearting tendencies are a decent predictor of "success" for Ambrose's pics. I do wonder, though, how your predictiveness compares to other people.
As an illustrative edge case, suppose Ambrose had a total consistent audience of 30 people, and that each of them "voted" (i.e. heart vs no heart) the same on all of his pics. Every single one of his viewers would serve as a perfect indicator of success for his posts.
It seems likely (though not mathematically certain) that there should be a bias such that the typical viewer is somewhat predictive.

Okay, but in reality, not everyone votes for all his pics. The average number of hearts across the 55 posts represents the "community" opinion. The other breakdowns, including the average number of hearts on posts I hearted, represent subsets which can be looked at for correlations.
For instance, I was stunned that the presence of boobs in his pics had no influence on the score given the attention they get in comments when present. Yet, smaller boobs did correlate with higher scores. π€·π»ββοΈ
Correlations are simply that... relationships in need of explanation.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Well no, the body builder physique is something different, something extreme. I agree with you there. But a fit and athletic woman can have a muscular butt without being extreme like a body builder. That's what I'm referring to.
But on your initial point, not all nude pictures are for sexual gratification. Just look at some of the old masters. And also not all sexy pics are necessarily nudes.
@JoePourMan Lol, well, I do currently work for the government in a sense (US Navy at your service) and a big part of my job is the assimilation, analysis, and presentation of information; although not usually related to boobs and butts. π€£π€£π€£
Would be interesting if you could determine which sex gave more hearts to the smaller boobs. I don't see Ambrose's posts everyday....only tend to see the ones my friends comment on....so if there are those you don't comment on...likely I never see them.

It would be interesting if multiple views of a model were posted so people would see small boobs/no butt versus big butt/big boobs. I wonder which would be voted higher. As it was, the butt pics almost never showed her boobs and vice versa.
No, not all pictures are sexy. I agree with the smaller boobs and bigger butt stats. Bigger bottoms are more appealing to me, smaller boobs are more appealing to me. I think you should have included length of their legs in your quest for what's hot. I would take long shapely legs over just about any other combination. Facial features mean a lot for a sexy photo for me. A fairly sexy woman with an open smile appears sexier than a flawless woman who looks like she just ate a sour persimmon.
@sarabee1995 Did he make it out? I did my ground side time in a reserve unit, I am sure most of the serious grunts have a little more testicular fortitude than I do. Not sure I could have pulled off some of the stuff they do.
@sarabee1995 My wife is a nurse and has always worked in nursing homes, I have been blessed with having a chance to talk to men who served on Iwo Jima, Chosin Reservoir, Guadalcanal, one old pilot who went from prop planes to the F80 Sabre Jet. Combat correspondents, and one doggie who was part of a wind talker outfit. I would take then Navy or Marine Corps t-shirts and listen to the stories. My generation had it pretty easy and I had it easy in the air wing, those old guys had a stronger mettle.
You and I like the same kind of girls (lean athletic smaller boobs and butts <3 ) so I would LOVE for you to be the curator of @Ambroseguy80's pic collection. π
