Apparently he really hasn't performed many surgeries since he hadn't received his doctorate until 2001 at 41 years old and stopped surgery all together long before 2018.

His fame is mostly because of Oprah Winfrey, who discovered him in 2002 and his own TV show a few years later. Not for his work as a doctor at all.

Heck he wouldn't have enough time as a doctor because of how much time he was on those two shows.

You are correct. I’m not a fan of celebs assuming because of their fame that they are automatically qualified for office. Although Fetterman isn’t qualified either, and not to mention he looks like a walking mugshot. All parties in PA did a poor job at brining nominees to the table.
