Americans are clearly the problem...

There. I said it...😷
That’s very vague. Plenty of world leaders are problematic.
@whowasthatmaskedman I never denied the influence of the internet. But it’s not like just Americans exists online. To give them all the credit would be denying the rest of us our influence 💀
Again, I don’t really see your point. I get it, you just want to shit on the USA. Just say that instead of pretending that the USA is terrible in a unique way. There are far worse governments currently active. Stop denying reality. I would rather live in the USA, than Somalia. At least I get to keep my labia here.
@Carla
And as a collective, we really are the problem. Clearly.
@BritishFailedAesthetic By George! I think he's got it.😷
Matt85 · 36-40, M
Taylor Swift is the problem.
Teirdalin · 31-35
@Matt85 Actually the whole celebrity culture in general is probably the biggest problem.
True, until people like a guy named Zelensky needs us or there’s a major calamity somewhere and across political lines, we “ AMERICANS help and aid is offered Hey, we’re not perfect, but we’re doing a whole lot better than other fucking nations!
There, I said it!!
@whowasthatmaskedman When people, wherever, are in need, a country as great as the U.S. in natural
Resources and goods should step up, having nothing to do with policy…when you see a little boy or girl on the street hurting, after a major catastrophe, your humanity needs to be foremost. And not only for children, but for everyone affected.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@soar2newhighs I couldnt agree more..America is a rich nation still.. And yet it seems it cant even protect its own vulnerable. I real tragedy..And a needless one..😷
Wow if only I was so simple minded.... you're Anti American we get it.
Why don't you just worry about Australia's problems and mind your own business?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Not at all. As it happens I have the luxury of three supermarkets in my local shopping centre and being retired and the main shopper I look up the specials on line at the two major retailers and shop both, then shop Aldi for items they do better at better prices. Frozen goods, cheese and dairy case items, bog rolls etc. And I have an Aldo capsule coffee machine, . Plus a number of our appliances were bought on their special buys. I love Aldi. Thier arrival here shook up the competition and pushed both of the competitors to up their game considerably. Thats the good old free market. So I shop on a budget, just like you do. Because I dont see the point in paying more than I have to.. Just some of the more processed items I prefer the brand names..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Great. Just sounded like it. I knew you view me and my wife as being like this 😄

whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic "You know Nothing Jon Snow".. Actually I make no assumptions about you and certainly not about your wife. (Beyond applauding her tolerance, which I am sure we can agree on) Its likely that you and I arent that different at all. We just see the world through different prescription glasses and thats fine..😷

@jimjim1969 they're certainly well represented here on sw
jimjim1969 · M
thankyou Mr. Putin
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@tindrummer You didnt deny that my comments were accurate. You simply pointed out (correctly) that others had the same flaws. Now thats fine. But do I need to remind you that Putin is and is correctly portrayed as a bad guy on the global stage, So you are equating your side with him. (Not something I would have gone for) Also I dont see the Russian version of "Friends" or "Big Bang Theory" on me TV, pushing the culture of Moscow down my kids throats as acceptable behaviour. And is there a Russian Cultural equivalent of Taylor Swift?? I hope to god not..😷
tindrummer · M
@whowasthatmaskedman I can and do watch tv and movies from everywhere including India, Japan and all over Europe including russia and yes, Oz. 🤓 International content wouldn't be available here if it weren't popular and profitable.

The reverse is also true. Our entertainment wouldn't be consumed worldwide if it weren't popular. No one is forced to watch including your children. Use the parental controls provided by your cable system.
I don't like the programs you mentioned but I don't see how they're harmful - just mindless attempts at humor.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@tindrummer How they are harmful is that they depict those values as how to succeed. Equally I could say that how America conducts politics and justice is equally on display. But lets not go down that track. Its not fair to the majority of Americans.😷
Teirdalin · 31-35
Actually I'll take the blame, I'm the main problem in America.
jimjim1969 · M
the Russian trolls are out, watch out
SlaveEt · 36-40, F
The problem? What problem?🤔
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Laughs. Why not? I get blamed for everything anyway. It's just another pebble in the already massive bag of rocks I a forced to carry everyday.
tindrummer · M
you're referring to what?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@walabby Well it is funnier than Seinfeld or Friends.. But not as good as Frasier...😷
walabby · 61-69, M
@whowasthatmaskedman 4am or so AEST tomorrow morning is when it gets even funnier. Donny will be fronting the Man!

... or will that be 2.00 AM???
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@walabby Either way, I will learn when I get up. I can wait.😷
What problem?
See, that's how you kill the ecosystem with the labor of others. Huh what?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego I look forward to your next complete sentence with keen anticipation.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman you read very poorly if those weren't complete sentences for you.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Might want to refine that a bit. You mean corporate America or the conservative right wing? The left wing is pretty moderate now. If you are a staunch christian fundamentalist republican you might be thinking the push for lgbtq... rights, wokism, me-tooism, secularism, or pay equity are signs of the apocalypse. And if Trumps' indictment is distressing you,a then you just might be a red neck.

You're not wrong....there are a lot of Americans not interested in solving or fixing any problems.
They've definitely made their intentions clear, and world domination is their thing.
@BohemianBoo I dunno.... with you being a leftist and all lol

@BohemianBoo You love facism don't you? God knows what your bedroom fantasies are 🤣
But in which situation ? 😳
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@AdaXI I agree with all of this.. Maybe I am an idealist for hoping that the world leader (as America was) that seriously won WW2 and rebuild and modernized Germany and Japan and built ideas like Total Quality Management into their industries might have kepy up the good work and not stooped to becoming the worlds Carpetbagger..😷
AdaXI · 41-45, T
@whowasthatmaskedman Yeah of course I understand my friend and I don't mean to sound cold but you can see what I'm trying to say how we benefit from the situation and yeah sure if the world was managed correctly and all the resources were disrupted accordingly there would be easily enough to go around probably a couple of times over like I probably throw away enough food in a week to keep somebody alive in another country, so it's fucked up how privileged we are in 1st world countries without even realising it.

whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@AdaXI America put in a lot in money and human lives early on.. And that entitles them. But for decades now America has been building up debt to many nations and frankly ripping them off. To the point they will rebel. Other nationa like China and soon India will take over in world trade and economics. Thats a numbers game.😷

@MarmeeMarch OK. Cliff notes:
A former Labor Politician gets thrown out of his party for being an @$$hole. Joins a far right party of rat bags. (our equivalent of Trumpists) and is welcomed. Fast forward a couple of years, he goes on social media with a series of racist and homophobic comments and get howled down by everyone including his new party who now dont want to know him, while all sides of politics, refuse to work with him. In short, what could have happened to a certain ex president in a decent country.😷
