Spreading conspiracy theories online isn't nearly as dangerous as getting medical advice from social media.

For the most part I think reading all that bullshit just reinforces how stupid it really is.

But if it were to be deleted it would just reinforce their notion that they know the "truth". Let them post their stupid shit, I always love reading new conspiracy theories anyway.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@sputnik Do you know what MRNA is? it is genes. You are right though. It doesn't alter the genes but it causes the body to build something based on the MRNA that was injected into it. The body builds the spike protein/prion and the cell that produces it is destroyed by the body's immune system. The idea being that the body will learn to attack the artificial spike protein/prion and then attack any real spike protein later on. The problem being is the body attacks itself and does damage to itself since it is attacking its own cells that started making the spike protein/prion. If the cells destroyed are in the walls of the blood vessels the blood vessels may start to 'leak' and blood clots form. Such blood clots can become very large and very dangerous. This is what happened to my brother in law. The blood clots in the brain caused a stroke. It was fatal.
Quimliqer · 70-79, M
@hippyjoe1955 There’s conclusive evidence that the vaccine caused the clotting, or it’s being used to further ones belief?
sputnik · 70-79, M
@hippyjoe1955 Yes I know what mRNA is, and I wonder why you’re talking about spike proteins and prions in the same term. A spike protein isn’t a prion.

@walabby And fewer votes for Trump!
There are a number of reasons for vaccine-hesitancy and not all of them are politically motivated. Some are historical, for example, testing of drugs by lying to the subjects (most especially black subjects).

A lot of people don't trust the government - any government - and with good reason.

I had covid-19 AND got vaccinated, because I weighed the evidence against my experiences and arrived at my conclusion. It is entirely possible to weigh the same evidence against different experience and reach a different, but legitimate, decision.

Where I have problems is when the unvaccinated insist on mixing with those who are vulnerable for other reasons. Responsible behavior dictates erring on the side of caution.

The idea that someone disagrees with mainstream thought because they are stupid is condescending and wrong.

It is important to remember that shutting up someone who disagrees with me means that the next person to be silenced could be me.

My opinion: for the most part, those who accept that information already believe it.

And right or wrong, people have a right (so far) to have an opinion and voice it.

Who decides what is misinformation?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
What propaganda. You drank the koolaid and are not smart enough to question the official line. Sucks to be you.

@hippyjoe1955 hahaha hey thats mt kool ade🤭

How many people have died from this so called vaccine? I have heard numbers from a congressman who said its 7000, to over 20,000. If the govt was simply honest I think most people would weigh it and some would decide to get it still. 7K/70 million. It's about a 1% death rate if 7K is the actual number.

I'll wait to see what the FDA says, I bet they never approve for full use.
@Confined this is what I’m talking about. The ignorant and gullible passing along false information. That is patently false.
Confined · 56-60, M
@JonLosAngeles66 There have been vaccine deaths. The question is how many?
We know some have had really really bad side effects. Why hide this information? It needs to be public and let each person decide for themselves what they want to do.
I am sure the FDA will never approve this for full use. Too many deaths and horrible side effects. It would be reckless for them to approve it and would open them up for investigations and lawsuits. They can not be sued as long as it stays emergency use only.
Miram · 31-35, F
Qestioning vaccines is completely understandable when equipped with enough medical knowledge. Not when watching bunch of stupid Youtube videos.

I have seen someone recommend taking a large dose of vitamine C as a preventive measure of COVID-19 to a kidney transplant patient.

And that same someone goes around talking against vaccines in this website.

It is dangerous.

SW isn't responsible for their choices to endanger others. There are only few admins.
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
At what point do we stop trying to censor a persons thoughts.
Who are you or S.W. to determine if it is misinformation or just opinion.
Everything you know has to be a " Consider the source " situation.
Doctors often have opposite views on topics but do we side with one opinion and silence the other???
When does this stop or for that matter start???
carpediem · 61-69, M
@Dainbramadge When we decide that free speech is no longer important. Many liberals have already reached that point.
How about medical misinformation from the media?
smiler2012 · 56-60
@stratosranger doctor dons quack remedies for coronavirus for example 😆
Or the dozens of times Fauci changed his so-called “guidance?” Yes. @smiler2012
@stratosranger it was a brand new virus. Be thankful they changed as the information they had changed.
carpediem · 61-69, M
You are incapable of making your own choices?

Misinformation and disinformation is everywhere ... and yes, dangerous

BS is shared faster than fact
carpediem · 61-69, M
@AllAboutLaffs Not the same dimwit.
AllAboutLaffs · 70-79, M
@carpediem How predictable ... name calling ...
carpediem · 61-69, M
@AllAboutLaffs that's just misinformation. Your speech should be censored.
At the moment, there is a run on hospitals and it’s not from being vaccinated. It’s from not being vaccinated and catching the Delta Variant of Covid.
NotJamieM · 46-50, M
Hopefully no one is getting their beliefs from random squawkers on the internet.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
I've never noticed that. All of those people must have me blocked. Good!

Lol!!! Get the fuck out of here you LA Nut
With that kind of mindset shouldn’t Fauci have been censored by now for all the false information he provided?
walabby · 61-69, M
@stratosranger What false information?
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@jonlosangeles] these people tend to be the trump cult obedience core base and are brain wahed with his ignorant outlook on the vaccination . alas it is a opinion and a view point so cannot be stopped . all you can think is people have more common sense and make there own judgement whether it is right or wrong to have the vaccine or not
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Irony 🤧 last I checked this isn’t Facebook.
Eklipse · F
Yes. You should only rely on factual science.

Yes ..theres a lot of it on here ...I ignore it
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
I get bored with trying to correct the misinformation they’re peddling. Some here may make their vaccine decision based on their b.s. but the odds are, it probably won’t be a fatal decision.
walabby · 61-69, M
@StevetheSleeve Yep. Only 2 or 3 %. Pity about their elderly relatives that they pass it on to who have a 20-30% chance of dying... :(
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@walabby I hope their elderly relatives weren’t so ignorant, but yeah.
