Lab Leak Most Likely Origin of Covid-19 Pandemic, Energy Department Now Says

So Glad It's In Time To Make A Difference...............

WASHINGTON—The U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, according to a classified intelligence report recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress.

The shift by the Energy Department, which previously was undecided on how the virus emerged, is noted in an update to a 2021 document by Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines’s office.

David Relman, a Stanford University microbiologist who has argued for a dispassionate investigation into the pandemic’s beginnings, welcomed word of the updated findings.

“Kudos to those who are willing to set aside their preconceptions and objectively re-examine what we know and don’t know about Covid origins,” said Dr. Relman, who has served on several federal scientific-advisory boards. “My plea is that we not accept an incomplete answer or give up because of political expediency.”

Some scientists argue that the virus probably emerged naturally and leapt from an animal to a human, the same pathway for outbreaks of previously unknown pathogens.

Yet no confirmed animal source for Covid-19 has been identified. The lack of an animal source, and the fact that Wuhan is the center of China’s extensive coronavirus research, has led some scientists and U.S. officials to argue that a lab leak is the best explanation for the pandemic’s beginning.

U.S. State Department cables written in 2018 and internal Chinese documents show that there were persistent concerns about China’s biosafety procedures, which have been cited by proponents of the lab-leak hypothesis.

Wuhan is home to an array of laboratories, many of which were built or expanded as a result of China’s traumatic experience with the initial severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, epidemic beginning in 2002. They include campuses of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, which produces vaccines.

The new report highlights how different parts of the intelligence community have arrived at disparate judgments about the pandemic’s origin. The Energy Department now joins the Federal Bureau of Investigation in saying the virus likely spread via a mishap at a Chinese laboratory. Four other agencies, along with a national intelligence panel, still judge that it was likely the result of a natural transmission, and two are undecided.

The Energy Department’s conclusion is the result of new intelligence and is significant because the agency has considerable scientific expertise and oversees a network of U.S. national laboratories, some of which conduct advanced biological research.

The Energy Department made its judgment with “low confidence,” according to people who have read the classified report.

The FBI previously came to the conclusion that the pandemic was likely the result of a lab leak in 2021 with “moderate confidence” and still holds to this view.

The FBI employs a cadre of microbiologists, immunologists and other scientists and is supported by the National Bioforensic Analysis Center, which was established at Fort Detrick, Md., in 2004 to analyze anthrax and other possible biological threats.

U.S. officials declined to give details on the fresh intelligence and analysis that led the Energy Department to change its position. They added that while the Energy Department and the FBI each say an unintended lab leak is most likely, they arrived at those conclusions for different reasons.

Millions have died, billions of dollars made by pharma, media and Biden supported the whole ruse.

Revolution anyone?

Thank you for insightful educated analysis.

@Budwick I'm cracking up here. Just saw this. 🤣
They have tested more than 80,000 animals, both wild and domestic, across more than 200 different species in the Wuhan region during an 18 month period. Never found the virus in any animal

And because the virus jumps from animal to human before human to human transfer takes place, they evaluated thousands of blood and saliva samples for a 4 month period prior to the outbreak...if SARS-CoV-2 existed in the wild, they'd likely find it in those samples. Never found the virus.

Scientists evaluating the gene structure of the virus how found strange anomalies that don't typically exist in nature.

The DARPA documents leaked by Project Veritas shows Fauci, EcoHealth Alliance, Wuhan Tech Institute and others were involved in GOF research paid for by the US DoD.

Wuhan lab has a long history of safety issue occurred at the lab that have never been addressed.

All of these factors have been known for a long time. IMHO, the lab leak is a near certainty. The only real question is whether the leak was accidental or intentional. Sure seems like it was intentional.

@BizSuitStacy Seven million dead...intentionally. China has a LOT to answer for.

Uh...duuuuhhhhh. Ya think? Our government is SO corrupt.

@MoonlightLullaby Not a fact checker thank God. But they have definitely overwritten some of the programming she grew up with. lol. She has been with them quite a while now.

@RuyLopez Good for her. I suppose she's comfortable enough not to be forced into policies she doesn't agree with.
RuyLopez · 56-60, M
@MoonlightLullaby Pretty much. She knows her way around the corporate ladder.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout It should, but I am afraid it is all wishful thinking.
@goliathtree you know what im thinking..
the only reason so many countries went along with all this is because of the financial hold the US/EU hold over small countries.
play ball or we cut the money. install tarriffs. get our media to run hit jobs on your leaders. etc etc..
(youve seen what we can do)
maybe a lil revolution and regime change....

now theyre all growing a set and asking Qs.

Next thing you know, they'll figure out that our current president is a creepy pedo with dementia.

@Notanymore

After they discover that the sun is hot, and water is wet.
The Department of Energy? “C’mon, man, you know the, the thing…!”

Treasury should take all money from the various departments. Foundations. They only have the foundations so they can funnel money without the oversight of congress
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Covid was an American Deep State operation start to finish. Fauci sponsored the creation of the virus then he had it released (not leaked) into a population that was likely to travel thus spread the disease. Then the deep state denied effective treatments, spooked a US president and destroyed the economy around the world and to top it off pushed a killer vax that had not been tested for either efficacy or safety. The average American should be hanging their head in shame that their country did this to the world. Oh it had help but the money behind the operation was American tax payers money.

For a little context:

The FBI believes the theory with "moderate confidence," and the DOE holds "low confidence," while the National Intelligence Council supports the natural animal-to-human transmission origin theory. Other agencies, including the CIA, remain undecided. The Wuhan lab has been scrutinized since the pandemic began, particularly over concerns about loose safety protocols and U.S.-funded "gain of function" research.

I'm still at the I don't know, so I'm not pointing fingers stage.
RuyLopez · 56-60, M
@Ontheroad The article does list the varying confidence levels from the DOE, FBI, and other agencies. Honestly, if they can't figure this out by now without at least moderate level of certainty they are just more worried about CYA. That is why I think they were reticent to stick their necks out in during the pandemic or worse just outright complicit. There was not any push back when Fauci and others were so certain if was from natural transmission from animals to humans via bats in the Wuhan wet markets.
Ontheroad · M
@RuyLopez Just more crap for the media to put out there on slow news days. Personally, I don't believe any of them... other than the ones who aren't stating they aren't sure.
ron122 · 41-45, M
Now they need to admit that Biden and his handlers are a bunch of liars.
Well, I have subscribed to this view all along.
RuyLopez · 56-60, M
@TheSirfurryanimalWales Honestly it just made a lot of sense. To rule it out and shut down any dissenting voices at the start was such a red flag to any one with even the least skepticism.
