Doesn't the Dead Sea Scrolls prove Muhammad was lying when he said the Torah was changed and corrupted?

I apologize if I offended anyone with that question. Muhammad is venerated in Islam and there are some places where calling Muhammad a liar will get you thrown in jail or beheaded. I travel to Muslim countries quite often so I know. However, clearly the dead sea scrolls, if they are correctly dated, disproves a lot of what is written in the Quran.

No. The Dead Sea Scrolls made a case that there is some similarity to the Masoretic Text between the two scriptures (for roughly 40% of the scriptures if I recall correctly). There is a near millenia gap between the two scriptures (with a lot of differences and some books and parts too different to reconcile)

This doesn't make any case to establishing changes or corruption taking place in the scriptures and twaching. The aligned parts could still be corrupt. One of the differing parts could be corrupt or correct

This made actually made even more issues in solidifying what is canon because of how mutable the texts could be across those eras with no accountability, reference, and reliable transmission

Arguing over old scrolls, here in the 21st century.

@Castenmas tomorrow be sure to watch for my fascinating post on the accuracy of sundials and the abolition of daylight savings time.
Muhammad was probably high when he said that, either that, or he had just gotten a blowjob from his 11 year old wife and his mind wasnt thinkin straight. LOL

I don't know much about either, I've not read the Koran. But I think generally the Old Testament of the Torah, Bible and Koran are pretty similar.

You'll need to be more specific. Like which scroll, and which passage.

@BohemianBoo WOW.
Just to be clear, not all Dead Sea Scroll fragments are counterfeit, just all the ones in the DC "museum" thrown together by Hobby Lobby. And those fake fragments weren't their only problem.
Investigators questioned the provenance of the $30 million collection that Green began amassing in 2009, and found that the company had imported looted artifacts. Hobby Lobby ultimately reached a settlement, returning 5,500 smuggled Iraqi artifacts and paying a $3 million fine. They were forced to return 13 Egyptian Biblical artifacts in 2019.
Do they? I thought they didn't know the exact age.

Although the scrolls demonstrate that the Bible has not undergone fundamental changes, they also reveal that to some extent there were different versions of Hebrew Bible texts used by Jews in the Second Temple period, each with its own variations. Not all the scrolls are identical to the Masoretic text in spelling or wording. Some are closer to the GreekSeptuagint.This may explain some cases in which early Christians quoted Hebrew Scripture texts using wording different from the Masoretic text.
So Muhammed was mistaken, but his view is only another claim of hate towards another religion, even though the Quran has many Bible scriptures in and it follows a similar pattern to Jewish beliefs, for example, the abstinence of pork.
Sorry bit long, but interesting question!
