When did you finally stop watching It's a Wonderful Life as if you had to

because it was a Christmas tradition and all??

I've never seen it.. I'm 51, I probably should have seen it before
@AbsolutelyFabulous

Best advice I ever got about movies - watch them wanting to like or possibly even love them.
@rinkydinkydoink @AbsolutelyFabulous

I sat through at least an hour the Peter Bogdanovich movie "Nickelodeon" before I gave up. How could everyone involved not see it was a colossal, unfunny dud from the start?

One year my Family were all sick at Christmas,the celebration had to be postponed....but watching it on youtube was a blast people were using comments as a chat bar...very Christmas-y
@bookerdana

You're right, of course. It IS a classic for many solid reasons.

When I no longer had a TV or a VCR. Can't watch my favorite Xmas movie either. Die Hard.
@hunkalove

Watching old movies with the fake snow all I can notice is the asbestos or whatever it really is that never melts once the actors are in the house.

It’s the law heathen..

You deny Clarence his wings?

People have stopped? Wtf?
The movie was in public domain. Meaning it could be broadcast by any television station without paying royalties. Then someone picked up the rights to the soundtrack and turned it into the three hour extravaganza.

I don't watch it every year anymore. But I would watch it again. I must admit after 55 years, I have seen it too many times.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@JimboSaturn In fact I'm sure I know much of the dialogue by heart.
bookerdana · M
@JimboSaturn A cult movie,like Rocky Horror
@JimboSaturn

Like watching Cheers and knowing what Norm will say when he walks to his chair and Woody asks him - - "What do you say, Norm?!"

Ive actually never seen it. My favorite Christmas movie is Scrooge (1970) it was before my tine but i like it because it was dark. The ghosts actually looked scary.
Every Christmas dad only read the bible story about Jesus's birth.. we weren't allowed to watch tv 😅

@Shybutwilling2bfriends

Same though I must be the only person in the world who doesn't care for Jimmy Stewart's acting... the gosh, gee mannerisms.
BarbossasHusband · 36-40, M
