Which is your favourite musical and why?

Aspects of Love is mine. It was around when my wife and I first met.

This is followed by Notre Dame de Paris. We heard it in Paris once.

Little Shop of Horrors. I just love all the songs and the remake movie was great because i love the voices of Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell (the actresses from the show Martin) both have beautiful voices, i wish that they'd made more music together they covered the song Don't Ask My Neighbor by Emotions and they both can blow
My favorites are from the early 30s - movies all. The ones with Dick Powell, Ruby Keeler, Guy Kibbee, et al.

42nd Street (1933) for one...

Jesus Christ: Superstar

Not sure if this is a parody of religion or what but it's got some great songs and lyrics.

~ And remember, I've been your right hand man all along.~

@peterlee Yeah that's where I am, I've seen people act both ways to me it's just a musical story of a latter day freedom fighter.

@GeniUs "Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ. Who are what have you sacrificed? What has been sacrificed when you are God and you have your life back three days later only to spend eternity in any way you can imagine. And of course he never really died in the first place.

@MoveAlong personally, I like Herods song.

Paint Your Wagon..Any movie that can have both Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood singing solo... AND have them both openly living with the same woman as part of the plot, is something really special...😷

My two favorites, one ole one fairly new. Hair and Jersey Boys.
"The Three Penny Opera" I’m a Kurt Weill fan.

@BlueSkyKing that’s interesting

What about The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahogany?

.
@peterlee The thing about Weill's music is it works in many genres.
Rent. It kind of reminds me of my life when I first left home and lived in a commune.

@bijouxbroussard a very under rated musical. It’s got some terrific songs: Will you like my candle, Seasons of love. Seen it twice when my wife was a student in London.
