The lesson of the original book and movie was a warning about opening up the Pandora's box of a new technology and then trying to make as much money as possible off of that technology without considering the ethics or consequences.

The book much more clearly illustrates John Hammond as the villain. The movie niced him up and made him more affable.

The lawyers that signed off on the risk assessment paperwork.
