A tv show from your childhood

TexChik · F
We had a big satellite dish at the farm so I could watch just about any show ever done.

I liked Father Knows Best, Hazel, Perry Mason, Patty Duke, List in space and just about any western. I liked Scooby Do, Johnny Quest, Bugs, Daffy, Foghorn Leghorn, the Road Runner, and Speedy Gonzales. I loved the MGM Catoons with music and narration in the background.
Oneofthestormboys · 56-60, M
@TexChik Me too! I watched a load with my daughter when she was little too - she absolutely loved them! Spanning the generations 😊😊😊
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@TexChik I was watching Perry Mason when I was 3 years old. I learned what “framing someone” meant, how dangerous it is to be an investigative reporter or how extortion or blackmail can lead to the extortioner’s early demise.
TexChik · F
@cherokeepatti I thought the black and white shows were pure, from an older, better time. It was only after I was adopted and acclimated that momma showed me the TV. I had never watched one before. She started me on cartoons and as I got more curious and she explained what I was seeing I got more interested
craig7 · 70-79, M
My earliest favourites - after we got our first TV in late 1956 - were "Superman" with George Reeves as the "man of steel",and also the original series of "Lassie".
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@craig7 I liked Superman
The Monkees!! Did they invent rock videos?? Yeah, they probably latched onto what the beatles released in their movies, but still, songs acted out on TV.

P.S. I've outgrown their music, but I still think they may have contributed the the rock video format.

Re-runs of The Lone Ranger. Re-runs of Sky King. Re-runs of Annie Oakley. Those were all the Saturday morning shows. I was supposed to sit quietly and watch television so my parents could sleep.
AngelUnforgiven · 51-55, F

Burns and Allen. People think Lucy was funny, which much of which was rather silly, and she came after Gracie Allen.

Gracie was naturally believably funny.
