A tv show from your childhood

We had a big satellite dish at the farm so I could watch just about any show ever done.

I liked Father Knows Best, Hazel, Perry Mason, Patty Duke, List in space and just about any western. I liked Scooby Do, Johnny Quest, Bugs, Daffy, Foghorn Leghorn, the Road Runner, and Speedy Gonzales. I loved the MGM Catoons with music and narration in the background.

My earliest favourites - after we got our first TV in late 1956 - were "Superman" with George Reeves as the "man of steel",and also the original series of "Lassie".

The Monkees!! Did they invent rock videos?? Yeah, they probably latched onto what the beatles released in their movies, but still, songs acted out on TV.

P.S. I've outgrown their music, but I still think they may have contributed the the rock video format.

I never really watched much tv before my early teens, but i would sit on mom's knee while she watched The Young and the Restless.

Re-runs of The Lone Ranger. Re-runs of Sky King. Re-runs of Annie Oakley. Those were all the Saturday morning shows. I was supposed to sit quietly and watch television so my parents could sleep.

6 million dollar man. They were supposed to make a movie starring Mark Wahlberg

Burns and Allen. People think Lucy was funny, which much of which was rather silly, and she came after Gracie Allen.

Gracie was naturally believably funny.
