Ginger Dead man, that movie made me hate life

Piper · 61-69, F
Not sure it's the worst one, but Firestarter comes to mind. I really like Stephen King books, which is why I was looking forward to seeing the screen adaptation of that movie.

In spite of the 'big names' in it, the movie was pretty bad. Even considering that it was based on one of his not so great books, it was pretty bad.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Piper I like King and I was really disappointed by the Under the Dome mini-series.

TBH though, The Stand is still pretty good. It was a very literal adaptation and it was so well done that it is still a decent watch even now.
Piper · 61-69, F
@Burnley123 I wasn't, so much. There are quite a few screen adaptions of Stephen King's novels and short stories that I didn't think were very good, but I did not see them at a cinema.
Then there are the screen adaptions of his novella and serial novel, that I think are at least as good as the works they were based on.
Piper · 61-69, F
@SW-User I did.

Black Christmas or the remake of the Grudge
We saw them back to back too😖

@StrawberryMilkshake It was soooooo bad
The actors couldn’t even maintain their accents
SW-User
@JRVanguard the grudge was horrible. Including the other installments following it. He remake of black Christmas was pretty good.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
Lesbian Vampire Killers.

Written by and starring James Corden.

My friend was depressed and I said I'd go to any movie with him and that is the movie he picked Some movies are so bad, they come out the other side and become hood. This movie was so bad, it did a further revolution and became bad again,

Probably "Snakes on a plane".
I imagine the idea looked good on paper. It just, it was blah.

OH and that remake of Poltergeist. They took a cult classic and wiped their butts with it.

@StrawberryMilkshake it was so bad!! Very unrealistic! 🤭
SW-User
Last movie I saw at cinema hall was in 2012. Dark knight rises, it wasn't bad at all. Normally I don't go to cinemas. 🤷

@StrawberryMilkshake I normally download movies and then watch them months later. 😑 I don't think I'm much into movies generally except some action & horror ones.

Grandma, ohhhh. That's cool. I went alone lol.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@SW-User usually going to the theater isn't really worth it. But u got to see a movie in 3D. Now thst is a fun experience
CestManan · 46-50, F
About fifty shades freed, it seems like a lot of people did not care for it. I have not seen any of them.

Interesting though on most days you can go to any thrift store and find plenty of copies of all three books.
That along with the entire Twilight series AND the "Left behind" series.

Books that people used to pre-order or wait outside overnight for. NOW they can barely give them away.
I would never see those movies but I did read the books. I didn't find them distasteful at all. @CestManan
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Spoiledbrat I know very little about them other than it is fetlife type stuff.
If you ever were just dying to see them, you can probably find the DVDs at the same thrift stores that carry umpteen copies of the books.

OH and that movie "Speed", plenty of those also but try not to be greedy with them. Don't buy all 10 copies. 😄
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@CestManan well that is usually how it goes with books after they came out. A store would order to many. So after a few year's u see the books and movie's price drops a lot

for real though I get it
I was at the target age range for that movie when it came out which means you were a bit too old.
and I remember being a bit too old for movies/shows
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
It looks like it might be MST3K worthy @sunsporter1649
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@sunsporter1649 I never heard of dark star. I watch the trailer and it look like a 70s style movie.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@smileylovesgaming One of the worst of the '70's style movies, to be sure
SW-User
Tie between Eight Legged Freaks - to this day the only film I have ever fallen asleep during in the cinema - and the pretentious shit that was Bodysong or Body Song...I don't know whether two words or one it is so beneath me to google it. Unremarkable, pretentious tripe.

Made Halloween: Resurrection seem like Godfather Part II by comparison. So it's good for something.
NickiHijab · F
The latest lion King was by far the most boring version I've seen. I never talk through movies and this one had me talking about my drink. There's only so much you can say about a damn drink

@StrawberryMilkshake it was too realistic for my liking. Takes away from the fantasy and light hearted nature of the characters. If I wanted to watch a David Attenborough documentary, I would've stayed home.

@StrawberryMilkshake To be fair it's no worse than the other two, just Phantom was such a shock. Sith has the redeeming feature of being hilarious at the end

caPnAhab · 26-30, M
@StrawberryMilkshake yeah, Ryan's move in killing snoke was dumb. You know what I think?

If anyone was gonna get brought back, it should've been Darth Plagueis, Sidious' former master. He would've been something new yet already established and a bigger threat (him being the master of sidious).

"He could save others from death, but he could not save himself" plot twist! What if he did save him self? ...If he could bring others from the dead...

I'd like to see the kotor games brought to the big screen in general, or at least events from that era, that's my favorite era of star wars.

Kreia would probably need an entire trilogy lol
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
Back when I was a kid in summer camp, they took us to the movies to see The Neverending Story. After watching it, I realized I do not like fantasy movies. A few weeks later, they took us to see Annie. Completely corny and tacky.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
I also sae the fourth transformers movie at the cinema. The only reason that it wasn't my worst movie experience is that I literally fell asleep in the cinema. It was baaaaaaaaaaaaad.
"Fargo" Even though I love the Coen brothers I hated the movie. I lived in ND and MN for decades and no one ever talked like such rubes as they did in the movie. Smh!
Elinoria · 100+, F
All three were Tom Hanks' movies.
da Vinci Code, the one with the volleyball and a Coen Bros movie where he played a grifter.

@SW-User Sounds like it could be about some country boy trying to sell a rusted out 1980 Chevrolet sitting in his barn. "Dat dere chevy done runned real good back when I parked it 20 years ago"

My sister and I walked out of some movie called "Ready to wear".
About half way through she said, "Do you feel like taking off?" All I could think was, "Oh Thank goodness!"
