Is there a fictional character’s death that you had a hard time accepting?

Sophie’s choice ? Having to ‘willingly’ give up one of her two children so that the other might live ? (War time concentration camp) and then never being able to escape that decision)

In terms of movie deaths ?
Wilson - Cast Away (Hardly a ‘death’ but emotionally might as well have been !)

Thomas J - My girl.
Where he goes back to try and retrieve Vader’s mood ring that she dropped while they were throwing stones at the Bees nest ?

Two I can think of on TV that upset people were Henry Blake and Edith Bunker.

Believe it or not, I was thinking about this and I had a hard time accepting that Lucille Austero on [i]Arrested Development[/i] was killed. It just didn't sit well with me, and I was waiting for her to have laid some elaborate trap, in conjunction with her brother, Argyle, to expose deception by The Bluth Company, after the way they treated her.

Lance Sweets from Bones. I didn’t like the character at first, but really grew to like him, then he died.

well not totally fictional, I was watching the marco polo series lately and I was totally into it and then when they conquered the Chinese empire they took the young emperor as a prisoner, he was like 4-5 years old or something, and then kubilay Khan killed him with his bare hands. then I found out in real life he didn't even kill him, I was really disapointed that the writers wrote that in just as some sick thing to stir up emotions when it wasn't even what actually happened. I just stopped watching it, I was totally disapointed.

My uncle has a hard time acceptation I killed him off in one of my stories, he keeps trying to convince me to resurrect him somehow.

Catherine from A Farewell To Arms by Ernest Hemingway. She died after childbirth, and I had been hoping for a happy ending.
