MOSTLY about my dishes. They have to be washed by ME personally and not by the cleaning lady, and they have to be washed in VERY hot water...and then the washed dishes have to be arranged in a CERTAIN way on the dish drying mats so that the maximum number of dishes FIT there.

I am also a little freaky about my closet. My clothes HAVE to be hung and arranged by color. That way if I want a shirt that goes with jeans I can grab it right from the "Blue/Spring" or "Blue/Summer" or "Blue/Winter" stack.

AND I collect fancy dish towels by Michel...with bird themes, mostly...and I like them to be folded and stacked in a certain way...otherwise it bothers me. I often find myself re-folding them after my cleaning lady has already done them.

@uncalled4 what is it

Yes. If I touch anything with hands that's not to put in the dogs food and cat food (I make their lunch) I have to wash my hands multiple times. Same with the bowls if I'm not sure where they've been. And I'm not sure what kind it is but it is stronger when I'm stressed

About certain things, I’m sure I do.

Yes unfortunately both me and my daughter have it
VladG94 · 31-35, M
Yes, and I have severe cases of OCD too, and it's really not the "we all have OCD laugh-laugh nudge-nudge" crap either too to be honest, it's a real pain actually!!!!
Sutten · 41-45, F
Yes, washing hands or sanitising repeatedly, checking appliances over and over to ensure it’s off, needing things arranged perfectly/ in alignment.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@Sutten I was a compulsive hand washer when I was a kid.
Sutten · 41-45, F
@Sidewinder Being a compulsive hand washer has its perks, considering how many germ covered surfaces and people we come into contact with daily.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@Sutten There were times when I was as young a 5 years old, standing at the bathroom sink, washing my hands repeatedly, like 5 to 10 times in a row, not stopping until it felt right.
i got all of it...

Just the tism

I don't have OCD, I have CDO.

It's the same thing, but with the letters re-arranged alphabetically... As they should be.

I'm sometimes particular about money: I check bills and coins carefully before spending them because I'm worried they might be error print/mint or rare. Is that OCD?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I don't know. I've never been assessed but some things I struggle with seem to fall into that category. I don't have typical irrational compulsions many people diagnosed with OCD have. I struggle more with obsessive intrusive thoughts, rumination and being overly cautious. Maybe it's just generalized anxiety.

I may not clean up after myself when I should , but I reckon I’m ocd or adhd , because whenever a leave a certain place or spot I got to check more than once if I got what I need
