SCP-106 would be pretty bad, but the Christian or Islamic God would both be far, far worse. The idea of eternal suffering is shocking to its core.

@bugeye 096 would not be nearly as scary in real life. If 096 actually existed, we would just put a bag over his head, dump him in a hole, and weld it shut. Worst case, we put him in a room and have blind housekeepers take care of it. If 106 actually existed, I'm fairly convinced that all the shit the SCP foundation did would be necessary -- concentric rings, femur breaker, sacrificial lamb to be tortured. What a nightmare.

Satan. That specific monsterous entity I indirectly stumbled into by accident, so I no longer have the luxury of doubting that evil exists.
His power was such that I know that if he fully manifested in any way, he would do a lot more than what he did before.
That last time was enough to learn a valuable lesson.
Curiousity killed the cat, but what doesn't kill you makes you stranger, haha.
Wendigo psychosis is a real thing... Native American lore is intense and immense.
Wait 'till you learn about Skinwalkers and a certain ranch in Utah...
Beyond that, I think the most terrifying fictional monster is The Flood from Halo, on a viceral, primal, lovecraftian level.
The body horror coupled with the fact that it doesn't let you die is too much for me. Nope!

Hmm. I think the markers from the dead space series. There’s lots of scary things, but an object that gives an unlimited power source but is used to corrupt organic things into necromorph’s which are just monsters used to kill more things and turn them into necromorphs and then eventually devour all organic life on a planet is terrifying. Maybe because it’s on an extinction level, but just like the games I don’t think humanity would be smart enough to not want to use these things to try to advance our technology.

Believe this has been though of. See a 60s book called "In vivo" by Mildred Savage fiction. Yet it's based on science fact.
In it talks about a virus that actually effects our reproductive systems.
In the book men are affected the most.
It's been known for some time now certain viruses affect our DNA. Some will make men sterile. Hence the nightmare begins.

Roko's Basalisk. A theoretical future super AI. Technically just knowing about it is a knowledge hazard. So google it if you dare.

Probably nightcrawlers. I love running at night so I can't imagine seeing those chasing me inside the trails lol

Zombies, that pretty much means the world is ending. But then again, maybe that isn't such a bad thing 😆

Um you know skinwalkers are real right?
startswithone · 26-30, F
@WolfGirlwh0r3 skin walkers and wendigos are 2 completely different things. I don’t understand how people can be so afraid of them and not know such a simple thing. But also I 100% know they aren’t real
The butcher from the diablo series. That dude is fast and brutal.

Those things from A Quiet Place.
The thing that gets me in real life is a fear of things being where they really couldn't be. Like sharks or gators in a swimming pool. I've had several times where I had to get out and look in from above just to quiet that one anxiety.
