I know exactly how you feel. It feels so difficult to carry out daily normal activities and do what’s expected of you, but yet you must do it. Ignore your pains for the sake of something else.
If you need to take some time off and you are able to at all, you should do it. I think in time you will feel better. I would say when it comes to jobs I’ve learned already as an adult. It’s less about what they can do for you and more about what you can do for them. The only person who is truly going to prioritize your health is you. If people don’t like it, nothing you can do.
To an extent we do have to work despite our personal struggles, but it’s important to take a day off if you can when you are able to do so.

@YoungPoet345 Thank you! ❤ And yes this is very true to how I am struggling and feeling - not just this but other stuff right now 😭

@AshiiePie I totally understand. I’ve felt that way sometimes. That I’m dealing with so many things that just my daily activities feels like a lot and I start to burn out. But then I get myself back together and bounce back from it. It’s all I can do. There are highs and lows. Long strings of joy and peace. Long strings of compounded stress. I just take anything as it comes.

@YoungPoet345 yes - I miss my babies all of them - I want to be strong for my still living pets even though stuff is shit at the moment and I want to cry all day everyday

Hurts very much. Sometimes more than human loss. Sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss. Truly like losing a family member or best friend.

at some places of employment, you get sick/mental health days, and this can be used for any reason , which you do not have to explain. I undersrand that pets are family too. Id say pets are people too...but in so many ways, theyre better than most people.
Sorry for your loss

When you experience a loss ( pet or human), there is a universal process you'll go through. 1. Denial : accepting the reality of the loss. 2. Anger : towards God, yourself, or others. 3. Bargaining : you may imagine reaching an agreement to avoid the loss. 4. Depression : experiencing complex emotions including emotional detachment. 6. Acceptance : coming to terms with the reality of the loss.
Now, as far as other people saying "be normal," you should share this truth with them and reassure them that you are, in fact being normal
I hope this helps.

Don't listen to them.
Give your grief its due.
As an elvish king said, it hurts because it was real. Others may not fathom our complex feelings when a person dies; how are they to know how crushed we are when we lose a beloved pet?
So DO cry and give expression to the full range and depth of your feelings.
But also remember the light of that life, and let THAT constellation of bright memories be the light which you carry with you, every day, as you take the best of your pet with you always...
