Anxiety attack

I don't know what triggered it
I feel paralysed

Run hands under very cold water or hold an ice cube in your hand
Step outside where it’s quiet and slow breathing
Just keep repeating in your mind “I am safe, this will pass”

Some things I try to do
I had a scary one as a youngster. My parents acted calmly. I told my dad how I was feeling., A tenet of life I took from him that night, is still with me. He held me for a few seconds telling meI’d be ok. Then he said if I ever felt that way again or got scared, to slowly close my hands into fists and say “ I can overcome this!” I’ve applied that tenet a few times and I squared myself away.

1 breathe in as slowly, deeply and gently as you can, through your nose.
2 breathe out slowly, deeply and gently through your mouth.
3 some people find it helpful to count steadily from 1 to 5 on each in-breath and each out-breath.
4 close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
Breath in a paper bag for couple of minutes .. it can help ..

If you are having a hard time getting air try using a paper or plastic bag to breath into to help regulate you breathing.

That color trick you showed me works for me pretty well. Also focusing on your breathing like everyone else is saying. Its tough but it comes to an end eventually.. you got this.

Sending many hugs your way. Anxiety can come out of nowhere. One time I realized I was having small attacks everyday at the same time but didn’t know why. I figured it out later.

I hope it has calmed down for you. Do you have a lot of stress in your life rn?

It's okay. It scary as shit but not dangerous to you. Just focus on breathing and clearing your mind as much as possible.

Shhhhh.....hug yourself. Pat yourself on the chest. Rock back and forth. Take a medicine to prevent vomitting. Drink really cold water. Use stimming techniques.

Start with mindfulness.
It takes getting used to, but it helped me reduce the severity of my anxiety.

Start by breathing deeply and body scanning.

Just relax. Breathe in deeply and let it out slowly about five times. Have a drink of water and try to relax.
