Hate myself

When someone is shooting for success, sometimes one falls on one’s ass. The trick is to get up one more time than you fall. And don’t be too hard on yourself for falling, just try harder to keep your feet under you next time. (Notice I didn’t say “try not to fall”, but said “try to keep your feet under you”, there is a difference, a huge one. Best Of Luck To You!

Don't let a set back set you further back. You admit the mistake, just take responsibility for it .. and move on. Don't dwell on it. Get back on track and keep focused.

My sobriety date is September 13 2023. i know i felt ashamed, disappointed, self hatred and many more unpleasant emotions when i relapsed. as a former addict i know what its like to be harder on ourselves than other ppl are. its just a setback. try to keep your head up and fight like the champ you are. my inbox is always open..

Former alcoholic here. The point is not that you relapsed, we're human, we have flaws and faults and we all wobble now and then. The point is what you do next. The first thing to do is to forgive yourself, not to justify or excuse - just forgive yourself for being human. Then go back to the path of sobriety knowing that you know yourself a little better and knowing which triggers to avoid in future.

Relapse is a part of the recovery , it's not expected to make it over night. ❤️

It just bothers me so much cuz I moved away from the bad environment and I’m keeping myself busy with school and work. I’ve kept my head down and stayed to myself with hardly anyone to talk to. I met a guy and we’ve been talking and I like him a lot and I’m so craving attention right now. I took a pill that he had and all I can see is my best friend that OD,d. I can’t shake it and I’m so scared

Like everyone here is saying. Falling isnt what matters. What mattters is you getting back up and dusting yourself off. And try again. I know it can be hard. But it can be done. I’ve been clean and sober for 17yrs now. And it’s still a struggle sometimes. But as long as we are all here to support each other I know I can be strong with you and everyone here. And you will be too.

Relax. Don't beat yourself up. You had a good run, now you just start again. Start anew and leave this fall behind you.

Just one day at a time im a recovering alcoholic i know what your feeling i relapses a lot of time before sobriety took hold of me and things got a lot better things that bothered me before mean nothing to me now you will make it i have been sober now for many years but i didn't do it alone .

We all can have relapses it happens we are human. But we get back up and try again and as long as you give it 100% you can't be mad at yourself. It may take a few times before it really sticks

Don't worry about the mistakes, that's life. One day at a time, and the days add up!

I have done it a few times you just have to get your mind set you are going to do this and don’t get discouraged you can do it

Quit beating yourself up. Everybody relapses. Just pick yourself up and start anew from here. ⛅
