How do you best cope with anxiety ??

There was a time in my life when I actually had panic attacks. That was when I was a retail manager and married to the ex. I learned to completely cut out coffee, tea, and everything that contains caffeine or sugar. I even stopped taking some types of cold medication.

Eventually I switched jobs.

Then I began early calming and deep solar plexus breathing and awareness. If I did that, the panic attack was squelched before it began.
@4meAndyou when I left retail, my anxiety dropped about 80 percent. that job is a breeding ground for mental illness.

I typically have symptoms a few hours like worrying and stress headaches and tight chest. After a while it feels I can't escape it, and sometimes I'll remember the quote, 'Nothing is true.' by Byron Katie. That's the only quote that has ever got me out of anxiety. Then I realize I was clinging to untruths in my mind, and I have felt a lot better within minutes.

My anxiety is 100% charged by overreactive emotions, so when it begins to take hold I try to focus more and more on logic to help combat it and bring me back to earth.
