What is the price of free love?

And did you pay it?

Regret, unrequited love, its like deciding to eat those supermarket cooked meat samples on toothpicks for lunch instead of buying a full meal. Leaves you hungry and unsatisfied at the end of the day.

There's also the monetary cost, im not talking prostitutes, but the cost of dates and gifts and travelling etc, i'm still paying off 30k credit card debt from entertaining my old "situationships"

Like the band live sang in "unsheated": 🎵 free love was just another party for the hippies to ruin..🎵

Unfortunately i was too shy to take advantage, now I've missed out...
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Occasional disappointment? I guess I paid it, things didn't always work out.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Lack of hatred.

I hate very little. So yes I have paid for even the "free" love.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Hers? His? Yours?
@SchoolBelle all of the above

"In my days" someone may ask: what do you mean by "free"?
By now, someone may ask: what do you mean by "love"?
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@ElRengo an interesting supplemental.
ElRengo · 70-79, M
@SchoolBelle
The expression free love haves an interesting cultural history
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@ElRengo Yes, for sure.
Teslin · M
Isn't Free, Free ?

But I get it, nothing is truly free.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@Teslin That's the point.
Philasefer · M
The price I paid was heartbreak
Pretzel · 70-79, M
I never had free love. it always costs you in one way or another
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@Pretzel It costs everyone.
ArtieKat · M
Never paid directly.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@ArtieKat On the never-never?
ArtieKat · M
@SchoolBelle I guess so!
wetncthru · F
I still have the receipts!
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Loss of personal time?
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@GuyWithOpinions Time is never personal. It exists without you - before you were born, there was time, after you die, there will be time.

It is foolish to try and own time.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@SchoolBelle well when presented with a question like what is the price of something free there isnt really an answer because the question is kind of a paradox. Thats why it was a guess. Hence the question mark.

What is your correct answer then?
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@GuyWithOpinions There is no answer. It is, as you observed, a paradox.
Lilliesandlight · 41-45, F
Chlamydia. Nope, not me!
Unconditional servitude

If two people love each other, there can be no happy ending.

peterlee · M
@SchoolBelle I thought my posts did that.
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@peterlee I am responding here to what is here.
Rudboy41 · 41-45, M
@peterlee those are beautiful words. Yes happy ending is an end, says alot and it applies well here, deep stuff.

SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@AgoodsonXT You do, you just don't realise it.
AgoodsonXT · 41-45, M
@SchoolBelle
Explain that to me please
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
Love is free is the lust that costs money
SchoolBelle · 61-69, F
@Donotfolowme Interesting.
val70 · 51-55
Trust. Pay for it? Sex, you mean, or just companionship?
ekwalizur · 41-45, M
None whatsoever! Until another lethal STD comes out. But when that's under control and everyone forgets about it, it's back to: none whatsoever!
