I fall in "love" with people all the time...but they are online friends. I know I will never meet them in RL.

In real life, I've come to the point where I am sort of "over" the need for a partner to love and to love me in return. It would be convenient at times...but I have been through too much...and I really don't want any more trauma and drama.

It's been a very long time that I fell in love. There's a few people I wouldn't mind taking out on a date, but I know it would never happen. So I just give up trying. I put my energy towards other things in my life instead.

Weird. I've long been the stoic, solitary type, so being in a relationship is a whole new world for me. It's never a problem showing love through my actions, but showing love through my tone and body language is really difficult for me.

I see the shows and movies depicting scenes of passion and romance, and my love life is nothing like that. It's more like hanging with my best friend and being able to be happy with just each other's company.

I have no idea if I'm doing it right, but it's been working so far and that's about all I can really ask for

I did thst several times it was great, unfortunately i had a brain tumor misdiagnosed and fucked the best 4 or 5 of them up. I might be able to revive them but im busy healing. Plus the 3 kids that did come from it is good enough for me.

IMO, a lot of it has to do with a person's age. As people age their resources shrink. And, while they might want to start new love life they see their future as barren.

What happens when the money runs out and people get sick and require lots of care and maybe even die? If a woman had moved in with guy and he died how will she survive? That may be a main concern for the guy. How long will she be able to take care of the house and herself if there is no one in town to help her?

Things change over time so what made sense as a young person can frighten an older person.

Sorry to hear that. The sand is running out of my hourglass as well but so far I'm not sick or disabled. I have no intention of starting a new relationship because I think it would be unfair to the other person.

Falling in love with just one person is unnatural and honestly really toxic. The dream is to be part of a poly group and everyone is in love with everyone
