I am skyrocketing in college. But backwards (into a volcano

Hi, im not really one to post online but screw it.
I'm an architecture freshman and college is not the best time in my life right now. This is the lowest I have ever fell academically. I just got my first line of 7 in one subject and the other courses aren't that great either. What's worse is that I am on academic probation and if I fail even just one subject, I might get booted. Today I got a full on 0/50 on a calculus exam that I really studied hard on. I am really slowly losing hope, which in turn makes me not want to try anymore, which then makes my grades crappy, and then the cycle happens again. I would like some advice, but if you don't then that's okay, I just wanted this off my chest.

Yikes. I will initially wanted to do environment science but I could not deal with the math and chemistry. Try to persevere and study hard but that major might not be right for you if you're doing poorly on prerequisite classes.

well, seeing as you want to stick with it, have you thought to get a calculus tutor? seems to me it might be the only way you will pass the class. college can be hard. i've had to drop out of a program becasue this one engineering class was way too hard for me before. theres no shame in it, but if you are determined there is still hope as you haven tbeen booted yet at least. keep trying

If its maths you struggle with , get an tutor , or change majors until your math improves then go back to studying architcheture

Calculas is difficult, I'll grant you that. But zero out of fifty? And after truly studying. That's hard to believe. And in my way of thinking, hard to achieve.

@SW-User Actually I can't really confirm if I did get a 0/50. We only have 5 questions that are worth 10 points each. Also, I only used Photomath after the test to see if I got the answers right. So far my answers were pretty far off even when I was really confident that I got it right.
Who knows? Maybe the prof will atleast give 5 points for effort.

Can you change your major?
Dan509 · 26-30, M
@Chops maybe it just took awhile to see what you are good at. I had to change my major in college for the same reason and I'm glad I did
Chops · 18-21, F
@Dan509 Won't it cost quite alot to switch majors? I'm not exactly sure if I could change courses if money is being involved. Genuine question btw, i dont really know how it works
Dan509 · 26-30, M
@Chops talk to the academic advisors about that, they might be able to work it out with you

College isn't really that important like it use to be. It really depends what kind of degree u are trying to get.

I once had to teach calculus. So if you ever need help, ask me.
